I just noticed my pic related had a pocket square lol. And it matches the turtle neck.
I’m planning on wearing it with a navy shirt or baby blue dress shirt.
Depends on your physique. If you’re skinny, wear something akin to a turtleneck underneath to compensate.
You can try soft sleazecore. Might score yourself some Tame Impala, thrift shopping, shit political views and overall inability to understand real life girl but ironically if you are hot enough, those types are going to get out of their way to make you like them.
Am a 42r and only 5’10 so I’m fat. But I don’t want to wear a turtle neck, more of a cardigan dress shirt thing.
Then i retract my bold claims. I thought you were early 20s.
If you’re 40 it’s a good look for you. Get a nice shirt, maybe even a pleated one and rock that golf club style.
Then i double down on my original statement. No, i didn’t mean to make fun of you, but glad to have made an accidental funny.

Yet again, it depends on your looks. Sorry to be a bit blunt about it, but if you look like a stereotypical gentleman gamer, then it isn’t going to work. If you’re just an average guy, it might, use a bit of sleaze to make it less…gentlemany so to speak

You won’t look like an ass, you’ll look like a tryhard sperg. Reminds me of this kid that would take a briefcase to uni. Legit you could tell right away he had no friends.
I’m afraid of that. Mayby not in class but a stroll on a cold day might be appropriate.

WTF does a gamer look like? I stopped playing Vidya a long time ago.
I don’t think I look like that. Deffo could be seen as a shutin but atleast not like a discord mod. Seems like it’s best I don’t wear this to class.
The shit on that pic looks comfy but the color choice is terrible and the shoes are abysmal. Get some non-tacky sneakers and use color wheels/color palette generators to get good results. Keep in mind that depending on your skin/hair/eye color, there might be other alternatives when it comes to color matching your look.
No problems. Be sure to try everything on first and ensure that you’re comfortable. Dont be afraid to experiment, people go to unis in whatever shit they find, you might not even stand out much. Don’t be afraid of mixing things up (within reason obviously). If you tend to be clumsy, stick to darker colours for your outer layer (jacket/pants).

There is a fine line between a professor and a golf club member. Both of them can be shifted into the late 50s yuppie territory or again, soft sleazecore.
Now that i think about it, there is unironically a lot of variety in that direction.
T-shirt/longsleeve shirt/henley under button shirt worn open/partially open under blazer looks good if you coordinate the colours well, and makes for a pretty pointedly youthful look. A blazer with a button shirt on its own can look too serious, and a T-shirt or whatever with a blazer too "chic", whereas a button shirt worn open over something else evokes the feeling of what young people do when forced to wear suits for school uniforms and such. Changes the vibe from trying hard to dress up to highlighting the attempt of trying to dress down. Helps if you wear the same blazer regularly, to reinforce the idea that you "have to" wear it and aren’t actively choosing to every time.
Chinos or jeans, sneakers or more casual leather shoes, like chukkas, chelseas or brogues that have seen some wear.
It depends on your uni/campus, your field of study, your fellow students and yourself too though. If you’re in a bigger, metropolitan city people wouldn’t even really give a shit if you regularly wear suits to class. And if you’re tall/attractive/confident/smart/pleasant, people won’t think you an ass anyway.
I have a presentation in one of my uni classes this week. The prof wants us to dress formal. I was thinking of wearing a sports coat with a crewneck shirt and dress pants. Thoughts?
Thanks bro. Wish you would come back and reply a fit pic though.

I feel your already kinda pushing the overdressed thing with a sport coat. Based on the thread just ditch it
Idk I need to get my money’s worth out of this sports coat. I spent quite a bit of money on it and havent worn it once. I need an excuse to wear it. I feel as though a tshirt + sport coat is much more casual than a button up shirt and sports coat. And honestly I dont really give a heck what anyone thinks of me in that class anyways.

An abomination is what it is.

Wear a button up + sports coat. You can always lose the sports coat later

If you wear a blazer or button up you’re going to be better dressed than 99% of the kids in there.
Tell your professor that’s not a good representation of the real work place because everyone just wears chinos and a polo unless you’re so gay in NYC pretending to be a stock trader.
My guy, I’ve been rocking sport jackets and ties at uni for quite some time now. Don’t take no shit from anyone and dress how you like, just find the courage to own it. I’m not coming back to reply so the other wankers can stuff their ideas as deep as they like. Cheers cowboy
if you wear it with a turtleneck and a pocket square you will look like a mongo

No!! I am early twenties, 42r is my jacket size! Unless your making fun because I dress like an old man, then your funny.

Fedora neckbeard type. Again, sorry to be blunt.

Really depends what you wear it with, what kind of pants and shoes would you be wearing?
Derbies and probably some corduroys. It’s a total hecking professor look now that I think of it lol.
Mayby some khaki colored Chinos

the girl looks good but the guy is a mess
jacket/ chinos match and so do shirt/ tshirt/ trainers but together it looks wrong.
To be fair the girl looks like shit too.
If anyone bothers you about it just say you’re going somewhere after school and didn’t want to change in between.
That is if you’re insecure.
Depends on the prestige of the school
If you’re going to a regular uni you’ll look like u work there
Just wear it at home and somewhere else first. Then wear it anywhere.
I have a presentation in one of my uni classes this week. The prof wants us to dress formal. I was thinking of wearing a sports coat with a crewneck shirt and dress pants. Thoughts?
I’d say instead of a crewneck shirt go with a button up shirt. Rest sounds good.
How come? I dont want to be overdressed like
says
"Dressing formal" in the context of some unigay busywork is just "dress how you would dress for a ted talk."
t. graduated uni

Not that one.
Tweed, corduroy, something casual and unstructured maybe.
