ever since my manual swap ive found myself almost always putting hands at 9 and 3. even when im cruising along, sometimes i'll put a hand at 4:30 position
Or, Maybe, using my right hand to shift has just made me adopt a comfortable resting position for it, instead of constantly gripping the wheel with two hands like a mongoloid.
Still, the implication that one of your hands is always occupied by the stick makes you seem less proficient at actually using it than I presume you think you are, judging by your eagerness to point out your M/T. And I'm not even speaking in terms of shift times, now.

I steer with my dick and use my balls for the pedals. Been like I have a self driving car since 97.
With one hand, bc my other busy using one of these.
if it takes you so long to shift that your hand never touches the wheel, perhaps a slushbox would be an upgrade to your driving experience

my hand is only on the shifter when i shift. there is no need to rest your hand there unless you are a boomer.
>left elbow on window seal
>left hand (two fingers) on the 10 o'clock
>right wrist hanging over shifter
Two fingers at 6 o'clock
Right hand index and thumb light grip at five oclock
I tend to hold it at 1 o clock and 7 o clock which everyone finds weird. I dunno it just feels natural for some reason.
>city
left hand on steering wheel, right hand on my leg for when i need to shift
>highway
right hand on wheel, left arm by the window
the "bimmer grip"
7 with arm on console or 3 with arm on windowsill if im cruising
9 and 3 if im hooning
RHD btw
Right hand on 5-6
Left elbow resting on window; head resting on left hand.
9 and 3, like a good boy.
right hand at the 4 o clock
left arm out the window
with my knees while i roll smokes and flip zoomers the bird
I don’t.
I shift to reverse and let the car decide where it wants to go.
