you realize whoever told you that was some tiny fake titty slut with 30 bodies and telling you that life isn't that serious but everytime you succeed in something the bitch make your lyfe worse and then ur retarded friends ask you for the 300th time if you love her
First, learn awareness. You just sit down for at least an hour a day and ignore your thoughts, and just be aware that you're aware, this starts the process of cleansing the mind and body.
Ah macrodosing is great but the breakthrough from a heroic dose is definitely something that pulled the veil back for me personally.
You can take a movie seriously. Enjoy the ups and downs, be invested in the characters and still put it all away when you leave the theatre.
This life is much the same way and because you manifest your own reality you can take it as seriously or nonchalantly as you choose and generally the universe will oblige.
What do you mean by seriousness though? You are an anxious person you mean?
You need to get out of your head and stay in the present moment as often as possible. Don't get carried away by thinking.
Meditation is very good aswell.
If you knew you would die tomorrow would you give a shit about half the things you feel anxious about or would you just try to enjoy today?
Every breath is precious so try taking a deep breath in and just as your lungs get to capacity try taking one more extra inhale so they are maximum full. Hold that breath and appreciate that you can have at least this one breath when nothing is guaranteed. Slowly exhale.
Stop believing thoughts.
You are Awareness witnessing thoughts which come up by themselves based on conditioning.
If you believe everything your mind comes up with, you lose.
Disregard thoughts, question thoughts, ignore thoughts, be happy.
Life is nothing but a big game of Go-along-to-get-along. Go along, take the game seriously, and theoretically, you'll get things. Maybe. There are no guarantees.
One morning in 2004 I woke up and realized I went along for 35 years and I had nothing to show for it. I dropped out of the game. I won't say life has been easier or more fun. It hasn't been. But now, I choose. There's no substitute for that. It didn't make me happy. Happier maybe, happy at times. But up to that point I'd never been happy.
You don't have to go as far as I did and wind up living in a travel trailer. Just take the things that matter seriously. Not because some asshole says you should. Because you believe they matter. Play it down the middle. That's my advice.
it’s not for me.
I could, and i ~kinda did for a while (neet), but now i’m going the other way & plunging head first into the rat race. See where it takes me
I was in a pretty gnarly car accident in 2020 and walked out of it mostly unscathed. The person who crashed into me got messed up pretty bad. A couple months later one of my best friends died from drugs cut with fentanyl. A couple months before either my other best friend was stabbed 15 times working bar security.
We talk about this alot. Both of us think that you need to nearly have it taken away to truly appreciate it. And the only way to truly appreciate it is to stop giving a fuck or taking things to heart too easily. It be how it be just try and get comfy while you’re here.
The only way to seek absolute truth is by being serious. Asking this board that is completely swamped in magic that almost always originates from fucking israeli mysticism is retarded, of course they're going to want you to join them in being selfish hedonists and tell you to just have the mentality of a weedbro.
Always taking Everything so seriously is called the Curse of Greyface, who is always Serious. Fun, with a little bit of Nonsense thrown in for good measure, is an antidote, Greyface is the enemy of the Discordians, and the book "Principia Discordia", the Gospel of Eris, may help dispel old Greyface!
>How do you stop taking life so seriously?
If you're serious about your own life, you'll probably won't stop. Because you will never be satisfied, specially when you START doing something mildly important. And when you achieve something, when people get into your life, which is inevitable, an endless cycle of subjective debt is going to start rolling until you die.
You will try to achieve peace, but peace isn't achievable. Survival instinct is going to knock on your door, pendency will arrive, once again, you will not rest. Because life is no joke if you're looking at it attentively. If you know our species' history. If you bother to do something, you're taking it seriously. If you're in pain, you will take it even more seriously. Until seriousness melts your fucking brain, then you'll start clowning around, laughing at tragedies, because your brain is rotting.
>Or is it actually meant to be treated seriously?
Who knows? All we know is that we're here. We know nothing.
I personally don’t think life was intended to be the way it is with government and people telling you what to do, money, struggle, etc… like was suppose to be made for peace and love and living your entire like more then comfortable surrounded by loved ones and loving other people… it was never ever suppose to be this hard but government and money ruined everything.. there was never suppose to be money, just trading and sharing. Shouldn’t have to work your life away living paycheck to paycheck having to buy ramen noodles because you can’t afford a food dinner… idk these are my personal thoughts.
I just think about the porn industry and remember there's a 20 year old that never worked a day in their life that has more money than I would after working for years
You're taking it too seriously again
There's a girl, probably a lot, that will railed hard as fuck today and she will make 20,000$ for about 4 hours of "work" and then more tonight when she logs on to onlyfans
Lol you're so assblasted
Well think about the guy
He gets to work out and have a big dick and also gets the same deal more or less
And not to mention all the parties and fun they get to have
Like imagine with that money they could, and do, buy fine pieces of art that you will only ever see in magazines
And not just that but relics of ancient times and new modern stuff like robots and shit
They really are the best people
This is a good question I have not fully solved - but my own hunch is:
To not take life seriously means to not get hung up on your failures too much or enter into despair. It does not mean to not live with purpose (unless that is your purpose) or striving towards some goal or action. It also doesn't mean be a passive hedonist.
But taking it seriously enough to apply priniciples such as living in the moment or meditation or prayer etc - you will realize it was never that serious to begin with once you put your stock into the afterlife.
stop caring. I still believe today as i always have that the world is going to hell and many people are evil. What changed is i no longer view this as my problem to solve & im much happier.
Limit your concerns to the happiness of yourself, your crew, & that of your friends on the chans. If we look out for eachother we all gonna make it bros.
Only when you dont take it seriously you can start to take it serious for real, its a paradox.
you realize whoever told you that was some tiny fake titty slut with 30 bodies and telling you that life isn't that serious but everytime you succeed in something the bitch make your lyfe worse and then ur retarded friends ask you for the 300th time if you love her
Nobody exists on purpose. Nobody belongs anywhere. Everybody's gonna die. Come watch TV

Have you tried shrooms anon?
Only a microdose. I plan to take a hero dose soon, but I am a little scared.
Ah macrodosing is great but the breakthrough from a heroic dose is definitely something that pulled the veil back for me personally.

What do you mean by seriousness though? You are an anxious person you mean?
Yeah. Anxious. Overthinking. Questioning whether I'm wasting my life. Things like that.
Eckhart Tolle can help you.
You need to get out of your head and stay in the present moment as often as possible. Don't get carried away by thinking.
Meditation is very good aswell.
Tomorrow isn't guaranteed. Nothing is guaranteed.

Repeat 3-4 times.
i am speaking from experience, anxiety & fear are life crippling. Solve them younger than later
what is it you are afraid of, friend?
>posts this in literally every thread
Very organic, tell your boss you deserve a raise

i feel better knowing people like you exist; out there living on your own terms. It doesn’t change anything, i just like it; gives me hope.
Not the anon you are responding to, but you can do it too if you want.
it’s not for me.

Unchecked population growth + the capitalist ponzi scheme ruined everything.
Capitalism wasn't even that bad if we just agreed on keeping the human birth rates at viable levels to keep the population working.
Life is just a single sine wave. If you listen to a 432hz signal you've experienced everything existence and consciousness has to offer.
I just think about the porn industry and remember there's a 20 year old that never worked a day in their life that has more money than I would after working for years
Why do you care? Because you feel out-competed financially? That's your ego running the show.
She will have to carry the karma of that path - never forget
You're taking it too seriously again

It's not healthy.
