How do I make a propper offering?

I am considering making an offering to Hekate to ask her to help my spiritual development and help resolve an ongoing situation (if you want some of the story you can follow my comments here. ) I have only ever tried making an offering to an entity once before and I am not even sure I got a response that time. I know Hekate has more info out there than most for putting together a ritual but that's kind of my problem. There is a lot of conflicting information. I am not really sure what I should do to get the best response but I would generally rather go overboard than make an insufficient offering and risk offending them.

The easiest way is an offering of yourself. I would avoid using blood since the rituals usually require a bit. The obvious solution is semen because it is far more potent and it's easier to for those unfamiliar complex rituals

      >The easiest way is an offering of yourself.
To add to this, it doesn't necessarily have to be a material piece of yourself. Your time and effort are also valuable things that can be offered. Something like a song, a dance, or even just conversation/prayer can be a fine offering. I have done this with great results.

Garlic was one of the items that came up when I looked along with Rosemary and lavender. The black dogs too. My main question is how do I make the offering, in what amounts (I read she has an association with the number 3) and also if she has a preferred stone. (I was going to offer her a stone obelisk as an anchor to aid further offerings) When I did it before I burned the offerings but as Hekate has water associations I am guessing that is not a good idea. I do also have moon water.

      >how do I make the offering
Well, it's tradition to leave her something at a crossroads. If that's not feasible for you then really any threshold is a good place; thresholds of all kinds are sacred to her. Doorways, shores, tree lines, river banks. Anything that demarcates the boundary between one space and the next.
And it applies just as truly to time, so you may prefer to do this at certain times of day which are thresholds (like sunrise/sunset) or on similarly appropriate days of the year (solstices, equinoxes, new & full moons, etc)

At the end of the day though, just remember that she's a goddess and not a formula to solve. I think your sincerity toward her will matter more than anything else. If she knows you're genuinely trying to make a good offering to her, she'll at least hear you out.

Third path, offer your psyche but be wary of cosmic horrors

The Goddess likes garlic, nightshade plants, images of black dogs, yew wreaths, and cypress trees.

I’m not sure. I hope others with real experience with revitalized Greco-Roman worship can help you in that regard.

You think I have it in me to ever become a deity?
The offerings I would expect of my followers would be boxing gloves, fries, chickenwings, medium rare stakes, coke, and leather shoes made from crocodiles and cute cat videos.

Went and looked for that and read a few pages. That book looks like it is intended for those looking to become a direct disciple of hers rather than just making a simple request. I would like to get to know an entity before performing the kind of thing listed as the first ritual in the book considering I don't know if this will be a long or short term endeavor.

I wouldnt reccomend making offerings to Hekate for your situation as she has extremely strong energy and will only confuse you by opening more doors.
What you need is encouragement and protection. A Vajra is something i always come back to, it can be 2 sided or 4 sided which i like better.

Develop strength and courage and you will know what you need to trust and believe to move forward on your spiritual journey because you have too many doors open. Ask your angels to bring you back down

I don't see how I can close those doors without reaching a point where I can actually see spirits. I was considering Hekate because that is kind of her area unless I am mistaken but am open to other possibly more directly related entities that could help. Going back to the mundane is also a non option so I feel like the only way forward is through.
