you need >daw >midi keyboard >usb interface >workhose mic (sm7b or sm57) >cheap electric guitar >cheap acoustic guitar >cheap bass >cables
to do anything that doesn't sound like computer noises
then use it to your benefit. get all the stuff i said and make glitchcore or cybergrind or sweet ass chiptune + melodic guitars type shit. ain't nobody out there doing that at any kind of high level
Re-appear once you disappear, using Reaper. Just keep repeating that on loop like your shitty most 1/4 bar track.
>It's an expensive hobby
It's technically entirely free if your time is worthless and you already own a useless PC.
All you need is a PC circa 1998, 1988 or even 1978-79 on a stretch. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_II_sound_cards
Pick up the friggin' guitar, zoomie, and a copy of Masters of Reality and learn from the masters!
Twisting knobs is not creating music even though every single boomer album ever recorded had producers and sound engineers doing this on them.
It does not shape the sound!
Only ebin licks do!
You're gonna need desire determination and relentless dedication the rest God will provide
Listen to dance music you like, steal the sounds, make new shit with the sounds, make a bunch of shit, DJ it together, DJ other people's tracks, mix those tracks with your own tracks elements
Repeat for until you're paid
okay I get four on the floor but idg how people compose those extremely fast and complex drum breaks and rhythms that a lot of electronic music is based around nowadays, I literally can't break it down in my head
tbh just download Stochas (sequencer), do a normie beat and then add a bunch of extra notes with a random probability of occurring. or you know, actually learn about rhythm, there's no shortage of drum lesson videos out there.
>download ableton >download trap 808 sample packs >put the samples together like lego bricks >claim you made this yourself >you are now a music producer
you are not the only one
there are hundreds of successful "producers" like you doing this shit...
as someone who studied music, music theory, composition and sound design and doing this for over 20 years now without any accomplishments or career, it is demoralizing and the reason i quit music
Basically music is so easy anyone can do it. However it takes a long time. So nobody believes they're qllow e to speak language even though they already speak language from childhood. English is a language, walking is a language. You take both for granted. You say you're not allowed to walk or speakz you're a crippled mute forever since you missed out. But obviously it doesn't work like thatm if you took an adult who couldn't walk or speak you could absolutely teach them and by the time a few decades had past you'd never notice a difference, because you can only get so good at walking or speaking
You don't need loads of expensive equipment for a start
Go and use Audiotool and have some fun putting together a simple house track, get used to how the different equipment works. It's so easy to use and free and because they have 303, 808 and 909 emulations on there, you've already got some great very familiar sounds to work with for doing classic house and techno, plus a bunch of other synths
use distortion to rough up the sounds
use compression to make sounds smoother, more refined, and make them sit better with each other
compression is the most subtle and powerful tool to get a pro sound
that and EQ. use EQ to damp down rogue frequencies that are annoying, again, it's a magic tool for getting a really nice professional sound
if you get on with that, you'll know where to go next
Pirate FL studio 20 and some Vsts, download drum kits and watch youtube videos.
Also get some studio monitor headphones and or speakers
I got into producing about a year ago and now i can make some decent stuff
Dont believe half the naggers in this thread all you need is a decent computer you dont have to pay for anything if you have a little tenacity to find the right downloads
It's an expensive hobby and if you're doing it to make profit then forget about it
only if you have GAS. most DAWs are relatively inexpensive and all you need is a mouse/trackpad and keyboard or a cheap midi keyboard
you need
>daw
>midi keyboard
>usb interface
>workhose mic (sm7b or sm57)
>cheap electric guitar
>cheap acoustic guitar
>cheap bass
>cables
to do anything that doesn't sound like computer noises
you absolutely don't
No you just need a daw you rockist clown
i'll rape you
you have to be 18 to post here
what if i like computer noises though
then use it to your benefit. get all the stuff i said and make glitchcore or cybergrind or sweet ass chiptune + melodic guitars type shit. ain't nobody out there doing that at any kind of high level
because chiptune and cybergrind are meme genres that only guitar fags like so they can say they like some electronic music
this post is quite simply not true
i will simply fill your prostate with goo
oh yeah well i'll poop on your dick
kys

Monitors and a soundcard are like €400 and you can just torrent ableton and plugins.
try buying a music instrument and learning how to play it.
Pick up the friggin' guitar, zoomie, and a copy of Masters of Reality and learn from the masters!
Twisting knobs is not creating music even though every single boomer album ever recorded had producers and sound engineers doing this on them.

Pirate a daw and go to town. Start with programming drums, it's a great place for people with no musical talent to start
You're gonna need desire determination and relentless dedication the rest God will provide

Make a beat at like 90bpm then double the tempo
solid advice
got any examples?
slow the tracks down and analyze the patterns
i'll pull your pants down and analyze your asshole
lmao as if this is a reasonable track to begin from
have you thought about learning drum patterns? might help
tbh just download Stochas (sequencer), do a normie beat and then add a bunch of extra notes with a random probability of occurring. or you know, actually learn about rhythm, there's no shortage of drum lesson videos out there.

i have millions of plays doing exactly this. it really is that easy (except i use fl studio which is even MORE simple and autistic than ableton)
Post your music
good for you
you are not the only one

as someone who studied music, music theory, composition and sound design and doing this for over 20 years now without any accomplishments or career, it is demoralizing and the reason i quit music
i wasted my time
yeah you did waste your time because you quit
You were never gonna make it anyways, you were in it for the money not the passion. Kill yourself
>he doesn't make music for the love

focus on a very small niche and watch youtube tutorials. i have +billion spins and that's still how I do it
>pirate a daw
>watch some youtube vids
simple as that
no you need two guitars and a bass
He wants to produce music, not start a band!
Basically the plugins and shit are free to use but not to license so if you're not making money pirate whatever you want
pirate video course.
