i really don't know what the fuck you're going on about. i'm sure it gets diagnosed otherwise (i am not a psychologist), but the most symptom of ASPD by far is the inability to feel guilt, and remorse. this is the single thing that defines ASPD people (again, for the most part). not caring enough to even have their own best interest in mind, not caring about long-term consequences, not even being convincing or well thought-out in their lying or manipulation, being impulsive; every single social symptom of ASPD you've ever observed stems from their inability to feel guilt or remorse. it is never as simply as "some just want to fuck you for their own vanity" (?????). if your own weird example really has to be shoehorned under a diagnosis, that sounds like NPD rather than anything else, but it's just such a generic symptom that is in itself devoid of the distinct psychopathy that points to ASPD, that it doesn't even make the conversation
i want to end this on another note, but, i don't know what to say. some people with ASPD are obviously calculated, and care more than others; some would even outright tell you they were diagnosed as having ASPD, and might even ask for your consideration as a result. i guess my point was simply, you have a fundamental misunderstanding of what ASPD is. for all the horror stories you've heard of bpd people, at least they're conflicted because they feel remorse. someone simply being divorced from the emotion is strictly worse
