How can I start dressing more like pic related?

>What type of pants replace jeans?
>Can you wear loafers with a black t shirt or do you need to wear a collar?
>can oxfords be worn casually
>do you need a belt
>what are some essentials for this

I’m tired of wearing jeans and t-shirts. I’m not a 18 year old trying to go full mens wear mode but I would like to dress up while still staying slightly casual.

Anon he’s literally wearing dress pants and a t shirt. He also looks like shit. This outfit is something I’d expect to see in 2016. The time has passed. Now he looks like he’s just got off his shift at Olive Garden.

Instead of trying to keep up with what’s cool right now and constantly having to consooooom more tryhard chinese sweatshop clothes, why not focus on building up staple pieces in your wardrobe which are timeless? Smart casual isn’t hard to achieve – have a few good quality pairs of wool trousers for fall/winter, cotton or linen for spring and summer. Buy shirts with collars – tucking a t-shirt into dress pants will just make you look like a waitress.

That doesn’t make sense. Im guessing by ‘good shape’ you mean you fell for stupid power lifting /fit/routines and now look like a dinosaur with giant legs and undefined torso

Dress shirts hide your biceps bros
No I’m not a t-rex mode powershitter but also t-rex mode is kinda aesthetic

You know what? I was just kidding. It looks great dude. Get the tightest t-shirt you can find and tuck em right into the tiniest pair of black slacks they sell at Target. Don’t forget the pointy little leather boots. You’re gonna look great bro.

Hey woah what’s with all the aggression, pal? I said you’re gonna look great. Get a tiny silver chain necklace too that’ll be so dope bro

            my guess
            >you dont lift
            >you wear streetwear

            also
            >probably thinks calisthenics will make you look aesthetic

Just google "men’s smart casual style" and you’ll find a ton of yuppie bro inspo. Also don’t worry about rules or whatever. If you aren’t doing something blatantly ridiculous with your fit, you’ll be fine. Most of your wardrobe is going to be interchangeable and inoffensive anyhow.

He’s wearing an all black outfit, that’s literally it. It’s a case of the outfit looking good because he’s fit, good looking, and well groomed.

He looks like a good GAY man.
He is not well groomed, he is too groomed. This beard is a cum magnet.
And the shoes and thight pants combo is feminine.

Based on what I’ve seen in this thread, you want to dress up beyond a tight t-shirt but still show off your muscles. Best bet for that is a thin short sleeved polo shirt that’s a size too small, and if you need to wear long sleeve, get a slim fit dress shirt made with a cotton spandex mix, or a tight stretchy turtle neck. Tuck em into some chinos with a contrasting color belt, and if your sufficiently muscled, no one will even look at the shoes. Like spandex yoga pants, this isn’t exactly the standard of fashion, and only looks good if you’re actually able to fill it out.

Chinos, pleated slacks, trousers, etc. Jeans are really a pretty solid choice, but I totally understand the frustrations with them. Take the time to understand cuts and what you like. Do you like a slimmer fit or a more relaxed one? Do you like your pants to have a taper? Just as a rule of thumb, don’t get skinny jeans. They can work, but they won’t for this look.

    >Can you wear loafers with a black t shirt or do you need to wear a collar?
You can, and it will look good. You can wear anything with anything, and 90% of the time if it looks intentional it’ll work.

    >can oxfords be worn casually
Yes. People might get pissy and say they can’t be, but if you can wear oxfords with a casual fit and it looks good, then it looks good.

    >do you need a belt
No, not if you have well fitting pants. They never hurt though, it’s a nice touch for your shoes to match your belt.

    >what are some essentials for this
For picrel, none of the clothes are unusual, they just fit well. Also he’s pretty jacked. Anyways, you could probably make any plain solid-color shirt work (preferably not garish colors), then those pants have a taper to them and are a pretty slim looking cut. I might suggest something with a little higher of a waist though, but that’s just my personal taste. As for shoes, it sounds like you’re on the right track – honestly as long as you aren’t wearing sneakers, running shoes, or work boots, you’re probably looking good. Glasses, watch, and hebrewelery are done to taste.
