Hey?

Hey /x/ I work for a hazardous/radioactive materials cleanup/consulting company that is occasionally contracted by the EPA and NRC. I'll talk about with something I saw while on the job a few years ago helping with the cleanup at an old manhattan project site.
>Get onto the site to relieve the old workers (we're only supposed to be in contact with irradiated sites for so long to reduce chances of developing cancers).
>Chat for a few mins with the guy who I'm relieving before he leaves, we're both on night shift.
>The dude is fricking pale as a ghost, doesn't talk much.
>Conversation ends up being just me asking questions about how things are going with the job and him just replying "yeah" or "no"
>I'm a little confused at this point but figure the dude is just tired and wants to go home to his family.
>Decide to just go to sleep for a while until my shift starts
>Get into the prefab cabin sit on my bunk, there's a window opposite to me that looks out on the spot where we're burying the waste before we encase it in concrete
>Notice some big piles of disturbed earth, doesn't look like it was made by machinery though. probably just some coyotes digging around for hares.
>Go to sleep
>Wake up 30 minutes before my shift, take a shower, get a snack at the canteen, put on my ppe
>My job is to guard the perimeter and make sure dumb drunk teenagers and urbexgays don't steal radioactive shit.
>Route around the place takes me by the spot where I saw the big hole.

    >Shit's pretty big, too big to be made by coyotes, but there's no evidence of it being made by machinery either, looks like something kicked the dirt back while digging down like a mole.
    >While I'm looking around I notice another pile, and there's dirt actually being flung out at the moment
    >Hear some crackling noises like beer cans being crushed
    >Oh shit, fricking teenagers.
    >Get closer and shine my flashlight at whatever is digging the hole
    >Can only see a back at first, doesn't look like it's wearing a shirt, the skin is really pale
    >Call out to it, tell them I'm gonna call the cops.
    >In an instant it bolts up and looks at me
    >It's really fricking tall like 8-9ft
    >Can't tell what I'm looking at at first
    >Brain finally catches up with me and I realize that it's not a person
    >It has like 8 legs and 2 smaller legs in front
    >The two smaller appendages at the front have tiny pincer claws on the end of them
    >It's got big compound eyes like a praying mantis with pseudopupils but on stalks
    >Long ass proboscis, almost touching the ground
    >After what felt like an eternity of staring it down, it starts digging into the ground super fast and I just fricking start running and call my supervisor on the radio
    >Ask what the frick that was when I get back to the cabin
    >Old guy just shrugs says "I don't know either, it's been here for years from what I've heard", says I should forget about it and if I bring it up again I'll get fired.

    > Yeah that's just the mutant creature that murders us, we can't ask about it or we get fired, so it's best to just work with the risk of being eaten alive.
Your story doesn't even sound believable.

      >murders
      >eaten alive
homie what the frick are you smoking it tried to escape.
Sounds like you're projecting characteristics that this creature in the story doesn't have.

You wrote a gay story that had holes of logic and reason. Just move on. Next time remember where you failed, and you may have a solid LARP.

ever heard of the reports of a teacher, way back in the day, who took some kids on a trip thru underground tunnels and catacombs? went into restricted areas, and basically saw some giants?

google: lost children of Hal Saflieni Hypogeum
keep going thru articles until you find a detailed one, about the teachers encounter.

in a similar vein, Jeff Long wrote an interesting book about subterranean beings. The Descent. Not to be mistaken for the movie, at all, but sorta similar. If you were to compare the two, the movie is like a chapter. not saying its the greatest book ever, far from it, but its not bad.
