There’s two ways to see this tweet.
    1. LOL you’re unsuccessful because you’re LAZY.
    2. Don’t spend all of your energy working for someone else when you could be doing something for yourself.
I think he personally meant the second one, otherwise he’d have said lazy

Those two sentences mean the same thing, the only difference is how offended you decide to feel.

Yes. That is literally called interpretive reasoning and it's an active choice you can make about all information.

I’ve never understood the multiple job thing. Full time and a part time job? Side job? I really feel for you if you have to work much more than 40 hours, but I call bs when someone says they’re working like 5 jobs

I worked part time when I was a student and some of my co-workers went to a second job after their full time job(and some even worked weekends) for a total of a 60-70hr work week. Shit is crazy and definitely isnt good for their health(and you get taxed hard for doing multiple jobs anyway).

He's a genetic freak who had a famous dad. The rock isn't where he is because he's a hard worker you dumbass. Hard work doesn't actually matter at all. It's just a giant cope. There are literally hundreds of millions of extremely hard workers that have been at it for over 40 years and they have jack shit and they'll die with that.
Dwayne is a narcissistic shit stain who has completely lost any real humanity. Most people famous and/or rich people are like this.

easy to say that when you got all the connections you need to be successful through your dad.

      Anonymous

Networking and nepotism is such a driving force behind jobs that it's not even fucking funny. I launched my entire career off the first job I got because my dad called in a favor and then I automatically got points with the people I met because they knew and liked him, basically getting all of his connections and then making my own once I'd used the experience at that job to get another. The only difference between an unskilled idiot working at taco bell or an unskilled idiot running a department is whether or not he's pals/related to somebody that isn't entry-level.

        Anonymous

Yup, that's the side of their life they refuse to admit to, because if they did the masses would realize that success is a huge sham, and that glass ceilings exist to keep the masses from reaching certain levels of success. It's extremely fucked up how they continue to sell the bullshit lie that anyone can make it, when that's not true at all. How the fuck do they sleep at night, knowing they do what they do? A bunch of soulless husks of human beings.

it's just like they say, if the Bill Gates, Elon Musk and Warren Buffets of the world, told people like it they would be:
        poorer, hated, hunted down

        Anonymous

I mean, of course someone who knows they have the right connections will put forth that extra effort to be successful. Especially if you're shooting for the same career your dad is/was in. That's how dwayne became a famous wrestler, because his dad was one too. If it wasn't for that, he wouldn't have been successful. If you were to tell someone that all they have to do is get gud at a hobby and they're guaranteed success, well no shit they're going to be highly motivated to go for it.

But when you don't have that certainty, it's a huge fucking gamble, especially in todays world. Success like the rock has gotten is fabricated. It's not for anyone to get, it's reserved for the people who understand how that lifestyle works. It's all a fucking lie.

this. i got my job through my dads connections too. qualifications are nothing, connections are everything.

I also started at my current job because of internship at the company where my mom worked. She doesn't work there anymore, so the nepotism aspect is defunct, but I wouldn't have ever found that opportunity on my own. You HAVE to have the right connections or you will never truly be successful in life. Poverty especially is a trap that almost every single person in it will NEVER escape.

I have my current job (WFH making 100k) because I made friends with the bosses. That's it. I'm good at what I do, but I was chosen over others because I knew them.

shitposts aside, Rock is in that awkward spot where he has too much money to be likeable, but he isn't Arnold level yet, so people don't really respect him as an original,
should have stuck to wrestling tbh

he has one good movie in his entire filmography - rundown and he was carried hard by stifler. at this point, arnold had predator, commando, running man, total recall, and shitload of others. but everyone knows and enjoyed those movies. rock has fucking jumanji and like 10 minutes screen time in fast and furious movies and a chinese tower movie and fucking other trash. its a fucking joke how bad his movies are. people mention pain and gain, but thats when he roided hard and became a mutant, but he has very little presence int hat marky mark film. its not a rock movie. carried again. walking tall is a remake, but he does alright in it. this is literally one of the wrost movie "stars" ever.

Learn to play piano anon. Get a cheap beginner keyboard and make a playlist of piano teachers on youtube. I like Pianote, Piano Pig and Bill Hilton. Sitting down n front of your piano on a nice quiet day and improvising or practicing your favorite songs will feed the soul unironically.

Yeah you do have some time to work on something, but that doesn't mean that you'll instantly succeed in life if you do.
Also The Rock's dad was connected with rich garden gnomes so he can shut the fuck up.

      >>what is random shit that happens that takes up rest of day like friends, family, doctors appointment, etc.
people like the rock dismiss everything and anything that doesn't directly have to do with their success. It isn't until they're fully established that they start to bother with that shit again. Sometimes they just leave their friends and family behind.

I agree with him. Not that I have real goals, nor am I the gym type who will wake at 3 am just to get a workout in. It’s a state of mind though. When I first started working, I was ok with it because it would support me and I could make time for other things. Now here I am waking up just before noon, finishing work at 8:30, then pouring a drink and relaxing when I should be reading or going for a night run
