You can get carreras for under $100 if you shop around, polaroid also has a wide variety of styles to choose from but carrera will be your best bet for something that stands out.

      thanks will take a look

Bought my joe biden aviators and never wore them, finally just sold them off fewf

Just recommend me some good glasses I don’t want to look like Biden

hahaha you have to spend ~$500+ if you don’t want to look like a "generic npc gay" because the vast majority can’t or won’t spend that much on a pair. you poorfags are so dumb baka always coping or trying to look above your means. pathetic. it will honestly be better for your mental health to embrace those cheap shades everyone wears and move one

carreras are just as played out as raybans. they must be a /fashion/ meme now considering how often they are shilled around here

Just get some metalic-framed RayBans, like Aviators, no brightly coloured lenses except red/pink/violet if it looks like faint red/brown against your complexion. Everyone will think you look good, have taste, earn more than enough and are generally based af.

    • Anonymous says:

      This is awful advice
      >Everyone will think you look good, have taste, earn more than enough and are generally based af
      From an insecure loser.

Generic NPCs wear the £5 shit you buy in a pharmacy or in the newsagents, that’s the drugstore or gas-station for any Americans.

If you can’t afford RayBans then just say so, but don’t pretend it’s about adhering to an esoteric hipster dress code.

How poor are you to think that ray bans are expensive and cost prohibitive? They’re THE brand of choice of NPCs, and clearly you are one of them with that generic dimwitted ”you just hate it because you can’t afford it” response.

You just hate it because you can’t afford it

Also, there’s a very wide price margin across RayBans range. If overpaying for the exclusivity is your thing, you can do that with RayBan.
There’s really no point dropping 3k on a pair of shades with a brand nobody recognises.. lets be honest, you want the clout more than you want to feel like a special and unique snowflake.

          • Anonymous says:

            >lets be honest, you want the clout
Stop projecting, it’s embarrassing. Also no one cares about ray ban sunglasses.

Do you see the problem here? Buy the RayBans.

            >If overpaying for the exclusivity is your thing, you can do that with RayBan
No, you can’t. Because you can get ray bans for under $100, the sunglasses you can get from them for $400 or more will just be lumped into the lower category. You want exclusivity, you have to go with brands that don’t cater to the lower end.

          • Anonymous says:

            >$400 or more will just be lumped into the lower category.
By whom? The same plebs that won’t even recognise your unbranded $400 sunglasses, or be able tell them apart from the $5 drug store job?

If you want people to know you dropped a bag on your glasses, get something people will actually recognise. If you don’t care what people think, get the drug store shit or whatever you like the look of. There’s no inbetween.

          • Anonymous says:

Why are you trying to impress plebs instead of people who know what JMM sunglasses are and look like? Different anon btw.

          • Anonymous says:

Because nobody knows what JMM is except pretentious narcissists with arguably lower intelligence than the RayBan plebs.
At least the RayBan crowd has some sincerety in their taste/cries for recognition. Spending $600 on a pair of JMM that looks identical to some $10 shit out of Walmart.. Why? Who are you going to impress, actually?

Differen’t story if you are, say, an actual supermodel/fashion designer running in those crowds where you will be called out on it, but your average /fashion/ poster with a bit of extra income and a desire to be noticed? No point buying JMM or the likes.

          • Anonymous says:

This. Raybans are cheap af everybody wears them, even my mom (she looks cool tho) no hate no cap fr.

It’s nice to, see people repost my collection, even if it’s an old pic

ID the 4 on the bottom?

Top left-Carrera 1012 with custom burgundy lens
Top right – 80s vintage Vuarnet Poullioux PX 4117 with what I assume is also a custom lens
Bottom left – vintage Nikon frames with custom lens, unsure of the model, inter temple marking say fb131-f8
Bottom right – vintageframes company XXL
The only 2 you would be able to find are maybe the carreras and definitely the XXLs

Not a fan of round sunglasses, I do want some flip ups that aren’t clip ons but those are hard to find, sad I missed out on the gucci flip ups.

      >which is untrue.
      Wrong.
But if you were right it wouldn’t matter since you don’t want the clout, and don’t care what people think, anyway.

Glad to see you endorse RayBans as an sub $100 pair of well-made sunglasses, then.

Look at this poor nigga thinking anyone cares about his hundred dollar Ray Bans. If you want to flex you wear Gucci, Louis or Dior, not some mall sunglasses.

  3. Anonymous says:

Just get some wrap arounds like a real man. People who pay top dollar for sunglasses that don’t even function as well safety glasses for blocking sun are stupid

        • Anonymous says:

I don’t believe you. If you feel the need to get a specific pair of sunglasses to be ”like a real man” you’re insecure.

Logic doesn’t require belief, only a certain level of intelligence.

You said you don’t care about the clout/recognition but also heck RayBans because you think nobody cares about them, ie no clout for you.

            This is called cognitive dissonance.

You’re not particularly bright are you? I said no one cares about ray bans simply because you’re saying ray bans are a flex piece, which is untrue.

I think airpods are an overpriced, sub-par pair of headphones that sound like shit.

That isn’t important. Most people think airpods are a flex. That makes them a flex, to most people. That’s what is important.

More importantly, airpods are a badly made, bad sounding pair of headphones that doesn’t do well what headphones are supposed to do. RayBans, on the other hand, are well made, sturdy sunglasses that do exactly what they’re supposed to do.

There’s no comparison and you should feel embarassed.

Oh and pro tip buy cheap ones you like the look of and some Costa sunglasses retainers for like $7, boom now you have Costas

        • Anonymous says:

Nope and I don’t know what that is
I’m on here for skincare threads and shitposting, I’m also the dude that came up with this collection of images a long ass time ago and now it’s taken off and become it’s own core which is sweet and I’m grateful

          • Anonymous says:

You’re on her3 for skin care and yet you don’t buy nicer looking sunglasses because you think THAT’S womanly? lol.

          • Anonymous says:

There’s nothing wrong with that, but being into skin care is way more feminine than buying good looking sunglasses instead of those ugly ass wrap arounds. Something something throwing stones something something glass houses.

          • Anonymous says:

No I think it makes perfect sense that someone who is concerned about the health of their skin is also concerned about a portion of the their eyes being burned by the sun in fashion sunglasses

          • Anonymous says:

I think you’re over exaggerating but they do make fashionable sunglasses that have a wrap around that aren’t ”I scream at my wife in public” core.

          • Anonymous says:

Yeah and they’re like $300 for good ones if you’re into that sort of thing which I’m not because it’s just hecking sunglasses

          • Anonymous says:

            >No I think it makes perfect sense that someone who is concerned about the health of their skin is also concerned about a portion of the their eyes being burned by the sun in fashion sunglasses
First it was some macho bullshit about being a real man and not buying something that functions worse like women do, now suddenly it’s about OMG MY SKIN NOOO

          • Anonymous says:

Why do you care if that’s feminine if you’re some gay who obsesses over his skin?

          • Anonymous says:

Not the point, skin care is way more feminine than buying good looking sunglasses. Not that any of that matters.

Walmart sell $5 fishing sunglasses under the name ozark trail or some shit. Just look in the fishing section

Can anyone recommend any amber or light tinted sunglasses? Something suitable for indoors or late in the afternoon, perhaps in the evening too.

      • Anonymous says:

Op, carrera are shit. That kind of sunglasses are bought as fashion accessory. None of the carrera are polarized. Just buy some Polaroid and live happy.

These are fake though. Do not buy fake sunless they will heck up your eyes

        • Anonymous says:

Carrera does have polarized lenses, wtf are you talking about? Also unless you’re buying wrap around safety rated sunglasses, they’re a fashion accessory. Polarized lenses aren’t the be all end all of sunglasses and it isn’t absolutely necessary for sunglasses. Hell for some cases it can even be detrimental like if you’re a pilot or your car has polarized light displays.

You’ll probably laugh since everyone else is recommending super expensive stuff, but I bought these for 17 bucks and love them.

      • Anonymous says:

Based. I may be full of myself by I feel like I turned a few anons on this board onto polaroid with all the shilling I’ve done for that brand over the years.

  8. Anonymous says:

Polaroid is okay but it is severely overrated on this board RN. The polarization is good but the backside glare is abysmal. Not better than cheap Amazon shits like Sungait

    • Anonymous says:

May be my fault. I’ve been shilling the brand a lot and now see others doing it. They’re the cheapest brand I would recommend.

Are there any sunglasses in that Carrera style that don’t cost a shitload? Tempted to just pick up a knockoff pair from Aliexpress or something. I’m far too clumsy for a genuine pair.

You mean in the style of the 1012 or just plastic frame aviators. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, polaroid makes some ok glasses in that style. You can also get used carreras for cheap if you shop around. But if you’re as clumsy as you think you are, you should start off with something cheaper to see if you can take care of them. AOFLY is the only aliexpress brand I’ve considered to add to my collection. They’re supposed to be really good but I haven’t handled a pair yet.

        • Anonymous says:

The 1012 is a really specific style. A plastic frame aviator with a metal double bridge and a layered construction. I’ve only seen this layered construction frome carrera and a couple of other brand I can’t remember, really my favorite aspect of these glasses. I actually remember some anon posted glasses that had similar construction with the italian flag colors in the layers. 1012s surface here and there for around $100 but it’s a discontinued model so they’re getting harder to find. I don’t know if you’d be able to find something like this for cheap. And like I said the lens is custom, it used to have a yellow lens but I had one made to match the burgundy accents

          • Anonymous says:

Thank you, they’re by far my favorite pair. Even the guy who did the lenses said the final result is one of his favorite pairs of glasses he’s worked on, tied with a pair of cartiers. Hope you find a pair of glasses that you really love one day anon.

    • Anonymous says:

They’re all way overpriced now and you would have to be an absolute stupid to buy from them at the current prices considering it’s all chinese drop shipping crap.

    Any good caravan style glasses?
Also I can’t seem to find any good sunglasses with a gold frame and an orange or brown gradient, is that combo just not /fashion/?

It’s a nice settlement between the 4k gold Cartier memesters in this thread and buying plastic crap from the gas station.
