        >donut spares are meant to be good for no more than 80km distance or some shit like that
what? shit, then i might as well get that fricking foam you spray into your flat tire and just have that instead.

          Anonymous

pretty sure on the tyre itself there's a sticker or text on it that says something like that. speed limited to 80 kph and 80 km distance or something like that.
Might as well just use a full size spare; include it in tyre rotations so you can go longer between changes, and more importantly (especially for 4wds) even the wear across all tyres, reducing the stress on your diff.

            Anonymous

hmm, mine only says max 80 km/h.. but i do have some tire foam too just in case. i will check out if there is a limit on how long you can drive with it. because if it is, ill get two bottles of foam instead. shit.

I don't think a spare tire is necessary in the modern world, unless you live out in the middle of nowhere.
Any highway, city or small town has at least a couple tow trucks that are on call, it's 80 bucks CAD to get towed usually.
If any of you have ever actually driven with a spare tire, you would know that their rubber is hard as frick (because it's been sitting in the back of your car for 15 years), the tread is garbage and are almost always a different size to your normal tires.
It's honestly way more dangerous to drive with a spare than it is to wait on the side of the road for half an hour for a tow.
