        They haven’t done shit.
If you are too pussy to put on a classic Americana hat because some random fat goof took a selfie with it back in 2007, you retreated without confidence like a b***h.

it was only a matter of time before someone used this word. it’s been around for 10+ years, has no meaning, and used by npcs
        >dude you’re wearing a hat that’s so hipster
        >dude you’re wearing glasses that’s so hipster
        >dude you’re wearing a plain white shirt that’s so hipster

hipsters did nothing wrong. the media went after them and npcs followed. it was an organic bottom up subculture that was anti consumerism. the media attacked them with that stupid tv show. the only thing annoying about hipsters was npcs calling everything hipster. hipsters were bunch of middle class people listening to indie music wearing unbranded americana clothes being mocked by midwits wearing lululemon and nike. that’s it.

you’re a hipster and you don’t realize you look stupid

flat hats are peak cozy. I don’t see "hipsters" wearing them. Are hipsters even still a thing?

Are flat caps acceptable winter-wear, anons?

Hipsters in the early 2010s wore these often

      >do NOT wear a hat unless you want to look cringe
eventually you ‘ll have to learn to ignore the "spot light" effect. Nobody gives a shit and given the ever so slightly chance they come up to you to express their disapproval, just say thanks and move on.
Buy good hats and wear them, don’t settle for shitty one-size fit all baseball caps.
I wear an Akubra outback/cowboy hat when out runing cause it’s functional and is built to last.

at some point it felt like the skinny jeans trend was never going to end, I think it lasted 10+ years. I bought a pair online and tried them on and thought "we’re still doing this?" then suddenly youths started wearing baggy jeans.

non casual hats kind of seem like that now. I’ve seen a few people recently wearing straw hats, girls wearing huge brim hats, those kinds. I still wouldn’t wear a felt hat, and still wouldn’t wear a fedora style, but there’s lots of others out there. don’t wear it indoors, don’t wear it with sunglasses, don’t tip it to the side, make sure to buy one that fits, make sure it’s the worst (not the fanciest) part of your outfit. I think a worn out one looks better than a new one.

You can get away with more cowboyish styles of these hats if you’re a beaner or live in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona.
Or a leather outback style hat if you live in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, or Florida.

I wear a khaki boonie style hat in the summer. I don’t care what you think. I see the cringiest outfits every time I have to go to a major city. Hats are functional. ~~*They*~~ don’t want you to wear them. ~~*They*~~ want you to wear cancer causing sunscreens.

It’s funny because Akubras are Australian as hell. It’s a good look. But if you live in the city it’s inescapably cringe. You’ve got to live outside of the city and then it increasingly because more natural and acceptable.
    But who gives a shit
Sunscreen is for gays, felt hats are Lindy.

Only speaking for the states here:
Only acceptable hats are baseball caps if they’re for a club your in or has some sentimental value of some sort and cowboy hats IF you’re down south. If you’re 60+ you can pull off other hats.

Have non-casual hats become basically unwearable?

No, it’s not unwearable you could start doing it and no one would care beyond maybe some people saying “huh he’s wearing a hat and a suit”

        >No, it’s not unwearable you could start doing it and no one would care beyond maybe some people saying “huh he’s wearing a hat and a suit”
No you’ll look like a stupid and people will 100% notice and think it’s weird. There is no environment where the look in OP’s pic is socially appropriate unless you are like 80 years old. It’s not normal attire anywhere, and hasn’t been for over 2 generations, people know this and will wonder why you are choosing to dress this way. You will be seen as either tryhard, socially inept, weird, insecure, douchey, homosexual, larping, or mentally stupid. It’s literally a costume.

The best possible perception people could have of you is "wow that takes balls to wear that"

kek yeah sorry bro you cant wear that solid black baseball cap cuz you not playing for the yankees. its called stolen valor plz understand Q_Q

It depends on the outfit. Dressy hats I’d say are acceptable past a certain age if you’re wearing a suit with them. Casually, you can pull off cowboy hats and newsboy-ish hats in certain areas or times.

Otherwise you’re stuck with beanies, bucket hats, and baseball caps.

I own a couple of akubras and flat caps. Probably going to add in another classic menswear style but not sure which one yet, maybe a porkpie or homburg. Hoping it starts a trend of moving away from baseball caps.

They’re perfectly wearable as long as you aren’t a turbo-autist. But you’re here, which means you’re in perpetual fear of being judged for wearing "the wrong thing" instead of developing a personal style. Grow some balls you hecking pussy.

  9. Anonymous says:

No they are not unwearable given that it is the right size for your head. All you have to do is pick up the hat and put it on your head.

  10. Anonymous says:

Yes unfortunately, I REALLY want to wear a hat but I have to settle for my cap, it’s trash, doesn’t even protect you properly from the sun

Hats for men are like thong bathing suits for women. It looks awesome in photos but just looks kind of cringe in real life
