Has picrel ever actually been refuted or is it just eternal coping and seething from people who disagree politically and economically?

I do tend to think that when people say that basic supply and demand are wrong in a certain instance, it's because their ideology is forcing them to.

Supply and demand is wrong though. Have you heard of empiricism?

        no you.
he talks a fucking a lot about mcdonalds. also

I tried reading this and it was so condescending and smug I decided against it

is right. he presents everything in a ridiculously smug way, and pretends like everything is really really simple, when in reality these are topics intelligent people have been disputing for decades. even if you don't know anything about economics, you should instintively go hold on a minute there's no way things really are this simple on a lot of things in this book.
pretty much a worthless book. study an actual textbook or just read investopedia if you want to learn some econ. for fiscal conservatism, there are probably way better books too.

he talks about mcdonalds five times which is a pretty reasonable number of times to mention the most successful restaurant business in history in a basic economics book

          Brainlet detected.
Most things are very simple and only total brainlets allow them to become complicated.
Brainlets can have their small brains twisted into over thinking things that are obvious on their face. Economics is not complicated. Brainlets allow it to be made complicated by people wishing to deceive them.

It's not that it doesn't work. It's that it has a different effect.
Economics is about understanding the effect of policies or circumstances. It "works". It's just not in the intended manner.

You can do any number of things. It's not a judgement of correct or not correct. It's a judgement of intended results vs actual results.

It's a pop book so no one is going to waste time "refuting" it but people have wasted a lot of time responding to Milton Friedman (i.e. Sowell not in blackface).
