>music is not dead bro you just need to dig deeper to find the good new stuff
Ok I dig deeper and look into the underground scene of most major genres but its just a different/new iteration of popular songs from few decades ago, nothing original and fresh.
Maybe you're just depressed
Not at all, I solved depression many years ago and I enjoy music more than ever. I don't mind listening to decades if not centuries old music forever.
This thread is purely about new stuff and for those that claim original sound still exists.
nobody here is responsible for fixing your shit taste in music, op
how is it possible to read the OP and come to this conclusion?
how is my comment in any sense related to music taste??
why are you like this
you are in LULZ in LULZ
sort of hive mind social rules that has remain sort the same for decade
Best post of the entire thread. OP is a lazy homosexual and wants us to find them new music.
>OP is a lazy homosexual and wants us to find them new music.
Even if you wanted you wouldn't be able to share new music from the last few years that is original and fresh but also good.
And taste has nothing to do with this because new music that is just an iteration of an older song is objectively not worth talking about. Even if its good its still just a copy
>Wants us to find them music based on a nebulous subjective definition of what is original
Yeah you can fuck off and find it yourself, homosexual.
This is one of those threads where I want to be proven wrong but it's impossible
Music has hit a dead end, it's over.
Maybe you just like popular songs from a decade ago and will never find anything else appealing - so welcome to your music taste you can yell at kids in 40 years for being solved when you where young.
no at all, i'm saying that "underground" music is just copying popular songs of their genre and aren't really making new music
but what's the point of listening to "new" music that is just a copy of the older and usually better version
imo metal has the biggest issue with this and you'd be fine by just listening to the best selling acts not having to worry about "missing out" on other great bands since they are more or less a worse copy
"Underground" music is just music that isn't well known. It isn't a genre.
I'm talking about underground music of the major genres, never said that its a genre on itself.
Like where is the new grunge or even soundcloud rap
>is just copying popular
That's true on every facet of society. Film, TV and Games are plagued with remakes as well. If not for that, just sequels to ages old shit, but worse.
Creativity is dead in the west, following the death of beauty.
Yeah that's how genres work. If they didn't sound the same it would be a bad classifier. Listen to something else dude
>he doesn't know the good new shit coming out
If there are any patricians left on this board, don't tell him.
have you ever tried the best genre ever anon?
I honestly wanted to say in the OP that electronic music is probably the most innovative at the moment compared to previous hits in the (sub) genres
this music has all sounded the same since the 90s, only eastern europeans and white neckbeards even like it
Do trance dj’s even do anything? It seems like a really bad genre for dj mixing since it’s all structured songs with lots of harmony. Just wondering. I do like trance.
OP here last post before signing off
Not underground but take Greta Van Fleet for instance.
Imo they actually make good music but anyone will tell you that they are a blatant copy of Led Zeppelin and similar 70s rock bands.
Their music is good but you won't miss out on anything special if you just stick to the classic bands.
This wasn't the case with the grunge bands in the late 80s early 90s and even the nu metal shit a decade later.
Guitar music is over. Listen to electronic music
electronic music is even more stale
>looks at 5% of music
>"bros why is music dead?"
maybe you are just too old already man
>muh innovation!
ah, one of those threads.
ok but what music are you into anon? im into power metal and theres tons of good new stuff.
there are definitely still artists bringing fresh takes. you've prob just reached the point where you've pretty thoroughly sampled most sounds and are gonna have to accept that you're not gonna hear much shit thats completely unlike anything you've ever heard
>fresh takes
>one of the artists is so shamelessly and openly derivative that the art features a cassette with the year 1986 on it
because it is from 1986 lol. the point I'm making is that OP is complaining about there not being any innovation happening right now but theres still plenty of unique shit out there that I'm sure he hasn't heard. thats the only tropical coldwave from the 80s I'm aware of
obviously they aren't completely original, literally nothing is. spira imo is progressing bladee's pre hyperpop sound, that violet town songs tropical coldwave, & the bergthron album is coldwave bm. point is you aint heard all there is to hear & that there has always been and always will be musical innovation happening. Its incremental, no completely unique music just spawns out of nowhere
you're completely out of your mind if you think any of those songs are completely original
