Magic determines the outcome of every battle. Sheer will is magic.

Odin was a literal spell sword. Zeus if you count his weaponry had magic thunderbolts. Vishnu and a myriad of Hindu gods had weapons imbued with magical powers. All of them used these to kick ass and chew bubblegum at some point. So. Yes. However, as far as a pure mortal goes, Arthur and Excalibur. The Masamune in Japan. The Alexandrians being attacked by Sky Orbs, the Romans being obliterated by the "God's Eyes" in Greece by Archimedes.

didn't they find ukranians doing chaos magic in the fields?
Considering they haven't lost yet (if we choose to believe that wars aren't staged) then maybe it worked.

          It's from this
          https://www.cia.gov/readingroom/document/cia-rdp96-00788r001100290005-5
click the pdf link for the readable view. You can search the FOIA documents from that page, I was finding stuff just by punching in "remote view" (with the quotations).
That document is from '82, and declassified, so it's very likely not in line with the kind of capabilities they have now.
This one is also kind of interesting, a lot of it is about the quantification and worth skipping, but the experiment is cool.

It is possible to positively or negatively effect people places situations and events with magic.

It is likely that it has directly and indirectly helped many.

Nazus where big on ritual magic.

    The US is also.

No doubt the chinese try it.

    Russians also...

    Japanese...

Its not that an example is rare. It is that it is so prevalent you cant tell the difference.

It's more like a very slow grinding subterfuge. Sapping the spirit of a nation has compounding effects over a long period. Great nations rot from the spirit.

Genghis Khan had some Shamans, he would consult before beginning every battle or invasion. The Shaman was very wise and good at what they did, which is why Genghis khan listened to him, he even predicted that the Khan would fail in invading India (which he did fail). The Shamans apparently based on myth, would look into a water bowl during a ritual and see the answer of the question.
