Has literally anyone here ever had a personal experience that would lead you to reasonably conclude that the 'paranormal' really exists?
I'm starting to think this stuff is made up.

I mean it could have been a rat I guess.
But I used to live alone in an apartment on the 6th floor. I'm kind of a lazy guy so my kitchen would get kinda dirty.
But one day I left out some food on a plate by my sink, intending to throw it away the next day, but I hadn't eaten any of it because I felt pretty sick and I just cooked it out of habit.
Next morning I woke up and it was gone, and my kitchen was cleaned up of all the minor crumbs and food stains.
Once a week from then on I'd leave out some food on that same day and the same thing would happen.
It was pretty weird, and I guess it could have been rats or roaches just eating all the left overs and crumbs, but it felt rather thorough for that considering i never heard any skittering or saw any bugs/rodents otherwise.
I probably should have set up cameras to capture it but at the time I was just going through some things and just kind of took it as a blessing.
Ever since I moved I haven't had a similar occurrence though even if I do leave food out. So it must have been localized.
I had the same thing happen at a previous apartment it's rats and mice you stupid fuck. I ended up catching them all over the place.
Yes, I've had two such experiences.
The first one was in 2017 or so. I was on a walk with my sister in the park. We were coming around a bend and a guy passed us on a bicycle. My sister commented that the bicyclist looked like a guy she had met at a music festival once, but she stared after him and decided it wasn't really him. About five minutes later, we rounded another bend and *the exact guy she had just referred to* was on the path. They recognized each other and had a conversation. She had only met this guy once before, at a festival 300 miles northeast. He didn't even live in the area. My sister seemed to take this in stride and just said something like "That was weird," but it totally blew my mind and forever upended my conception of reality.
The second experience was a prophetic dream I had. I dreamt that I asked my boss to order me a hat with the company logo on it (a weird thing to dream about since I could not care less about my dumb job or company merchandise). I went to work *that same morning* and it turned out my co-workers had found a box of old hats with the company logo on them. They'd left one on my desk. They had just gotten bored and went through an old storage closet that no one had probably opened for years. Nobody knew these hats even existed; I certainly hadn't seen them before. The others noticed how freaked out I looked at the hats, and commented on it.
I don't know what either of these things mean, but they convinced me that there is more to reality than mechanical, material cause-and-effect. There is a mental cause-and-effect as well.
just a coincidence, not paranormal
fun webm
good video
The paranormal manifests in coincidences
Was the guy in the first story blonde/dirty blonde early to mid 20's?
yes. can i explain it to any normal person? no ive tried. its useless
How about an entity pulling the cover from your face when you're trying to sleep? Had that happen when I was a teen and after pulling it back up a few times it laughed at me. Do you have to believe it? No, but it sure solidified my beliefs.
do more drugs, you'll see then how much shit people make up and misinterpret when theyre high as fuck
>Everyone is a druggie fiend
Kill yourself junkie
Yes i had
No. I know there is nothing out there. I say that as conclusively as going to play roulette and putting everything on that one answer -- everything on 'we are all alone'. There is no such thing as 'seeing is believing', there is only 'seeing is KNOWING'. If something exists you will either know it to be a fact, or you don't. And if it's the latter, and you don't see or experience it and you have is blind faith, it might as well not exist, and in fact it does not exist in your reality.
Extremely relevant and well timed random drunk reading with a psychic lady which completely changed the course of my life.
There was no way she could have known what she knew that night.
This was the beginning of turning the tide on my cringe materialism.
No I've actually never had anything happen to make me believe that there is anything beyond what is in front of me. I had a strange, meaningless coincidence in a haunted house, but for someone who studied all aspects of the paranormal and supernatural, I have had nothing significant.
Yes, several. Once you know what you are looking for it becomes easier to see.
What do you look for?
>remote viewing
>spiritual experience in some void-state
>synchronicities
>brief random visions of the future
>asked universe for a gf even if just temporarily and it happened, temporarily
>asked universe to kill me in a car accident and it would have happened that day if I didn't tell the taxi driver to swerve
>lights flickering/exploding rarely during meditation
>used to see shadow people dart around my house and the cat would see them too
>experienced shadow people during sleep paralysis
>seen and heard weird shit when in hypnagogic/hypnopompia states
The only thing which really stands a part is the remote viewing stuff because you can test with rank-order matching tests for statistical significance. Even if you don't describe the image very well, there's usually something which allows you to pick the 1st or 2nd place target much more often than the 3rd place target.
I think remote viewing is possible but your physical body has to be turbo suppressed so it doesn't interfere.
Thats close to one of the methods yes. You dont really get it though I think.

if anyone can get to level 10 i'll post my story
Too many to count. Where do you want me to start? I've found even if you provide people with proof straight in front of their face, they will still deny it. Why are you different in any way? Also are you a _____?
Of course, I had a couple instances of telepathic activity as a small child, both were experiences of physical pain close family located tens of miles away were going through. The first instance was for my father's heart attack, I experienced severe chest pains and complained unconsolably to my mother that my hear hurt, shortly afterward we got a call from my dad's work that he was in the hospital for a heart attack. A similar experience months later with my grandmother, she was on the phone with my grandmother, just small talk, i hear my mother ask "what's wrong" to her mom and I exclaimed "grandma's having a back attack!" which wasn't far from the truth, she was having severe back pain.
In 2019 me and a friend visited Chaco Canyon (Ancestral Puebloan ruins in the NM desert), and we were basically the only ones in the whole park besides the rangers at the visitor center. Walking through the canyon and ruins was eerily quiet all day. No birds, no planes, no animals, no wind, just silent. Super surreal and sublime, but not paranormal on its own. At sunset we returned to the visitor center because they pulled out telescopes to look at the stars and then after that we decided to stay and stargaze a little.
After the rangers left they shut off all the lights and they took off pretty quickly, so we were alone just us two. It was the most beautiful night I've ever seen, with the milky way fully visible and no moon. While we were watching, we both noticed what I can best describe as a green shimmer emanating from the ruins deeper in the park, up the cliff walls like a glowing shadow. They looked like the reflection of water when sun hits it just right, but slow moving and shifting. It was so feint as to almost not see it, but my friend noticed it too and we watched as it spread over the canyon walls. We both started to get the feeling we should not be there and we needed to leave, and neither of us said anything, but we both booked it back to the car and got outta there.
We didn't really talk about it until we had both left the area, and we couldn't really decide what we had seen. The road out of Chaco Canyon is a long, broken dirt road (about an hours trip to the highway), and it was pitch black. About half way along that drive, at 30 mph I suddenly saw a black figure besides my car. It was a muscular black bull, covered in red tatters of fabric, with multicolored fabric tied to it's horns, running full speed besides the car, it even over took us as we navigated a pot hole and blocked us. It stared at us for a while, until I slowly drove around it, and I could see it in the rear lights still staring until it's reflective eyes faded, creepy event.
At the exact time my good friend died my mother, deceased for 11 years, called out my name.
I was asleep but the voice made me sit bolt upright. The walls still reverberating with her voice. It was as real as if she was stood in the room, though I didn't see her. I never thought to ask 'what?' I was just too confused.
This was nearly two years after seeing a dark cloud 'float' into my house. I since realised my sister had given me an urn with some of my mother's ashes in that I had placed at the back of my sideboard.
I now watch NDE testimonies in a new light.
I'm a telepath.
The problem is that people think that this stuff is all explained as just an hallucination but I think there's more to it, seems to be a projection into your consciousness in the sense that you see it but others don't, or maybe it's a leak from a parallel universe or a glitch in the simulation.
Psilocybin mushrooms have convinced me that there's more out there than what we can see or understand. I seem to have a 50/50 chance of being able to tune into channels of hyperreality whenever I trip.
>that's not paranormal, anon. you're just on drugs, hallucinations aren't real
Maybe so, but everything you've ever known or experienced has just been your mind's attempt at interpreting it through a filter. Anything you could ever fathom, real or not, requires your consciousness to be present to perceive it, including whatever we'd consider paranormal. Paradoxically, your thoughts are the only thing you know are real, yet they're only real to you.
How much do you take to see things?
I just took a gram and not really seeing anything, really just a body high if anything at all (and the chill dungeon synth music sounds extra comfy)
One issue with mushrooms is that potency can vary wildly per shroom. My heaviest visuals came during a 2g trip, while some larger doses didn't give me any visuals whatsoever.
1 gram is a relatively small dose, though. There's nothing wrong with taking that much if it's what you're comfortable with, but you can work your way up by half gram increments if you're trying to get more out of it.
No soul confirmed. I get taken to a 3d carnival world as my normal trip. On my best trips my soul can come out of my body.
>be elementary school me
>move to a nice house so my dad can do his new job in a new neighborhood
>cute girl sometimes meets me out in the big yard, plays tag with me
>sometimes appears inside the house and talks with me and plays tag
>always runs away when my parents are coming around the corners/coming home or doing things
>says "I don't want to talk with them, adults are scary"
>sometimes appears in my room at night for a quick talk about random things
>even watches tv with me but refuses to play vidya or do anything requiring holding stuff
>think nothing of it
>eventually, move out since my dad quit the job for a different one
>parents eager to move out since they said house had a chilly atmosphere, especially one particular room next to mine that "just felt sad"
>they do some digging after we left
>turns out a little girl died of terrible illness in that room, was talk of the town in a newspaper with allegations of abuse too
>I think nothing of it
>years later, realize it was odd she appears in the house when not let in
>and the fact she wasn't a neighbor
>nor a schoolmate
>and was afraid of adults specifically
>and the story behind the house comes back to me
>tfw my playmate I hung out with for a year was a ghost
Too many to count.
I’ll share one
>be me outside tripping off a tab at 2 am in my backyard
>Just chilling listening to music though some ear buds
>start hearing voices and I start responding to them.
>they’re demons.
>picrel
>I’m curious so I ask them to show me how dark can it get.
>they start fucking with me and I go into horrific thought loops
>they tried to scare me by showing how complex and inter dimensional evil can get.
>they’re voices turn eerily robotic but like in 16 or 4 bit sound.
>out of nowhere the neighbors dog starts barking at my direction
>we’re fenced so he can’t see me but he knows exactly where I’m at.
>Neighbors wake up and have a flashlight looking to see.
>They look for a little bit than go back inside.
>finally snap out of it and go back inside.
It was a tough sleep after that but thankfully Christ helped me.
I fear no demons, Jesus walked the earth and will return.
Dude, you just saved Om
The first 6-7 years of your life is where all the foundation of this world's programming is. So what most people believe is paranormal when it doesn't happen is actually the long forgotten programming kicking in their minds.
Back on topic some nagger kept going through my TV and moving the towel out of the way so I eventually got a big bed sheet to cover it. When I first started browsing /x/ eventually the Saturn sign wound up being poked into holes next to my door.
Many, it's real anon. Look at how the rich and powerful live and die by it. Should tell you your answer.
I am the rich and powerful
You're not affliated with one of the 3? (or 2 since I'm guessing you're american)
Saw an 3 feet blue/white ball as a kid floating still and symmetrical in front of my bed.i was stunned.anyone similar experiences?
