Old people have been complaining about young people for as long as human history has existed, old people are miserable c**ts and young people are narcissistic morons.
No. Your pic spells out why. For most of the time humanity has existed, society did not change faster than living memory. The culture that a person was born into was basically identical to the one their parents were born in, which was basically identical to the one their parents were born in, and so on.
The rapid development and evolution of society prompted by technological and economic innovation now changes the world so quickly that people born into different generations are literally born into different cultures. This naturally causes friction when they are forced to interact with each other.
not remotely true. Up until about 200 years ago culture was very slow to change across generations, only changing with the industrial revolution and its consequences
This perception is more a consequence of the way humans compress time spans the further you go back. Certainly mass media and industrial production allows change much faster, but if you go through ancient history decade by decade you can see changes in clothing, art, even political opinion.
It's the old generations that frick with the youngest one and send it into moronic wars. Young generations usually have nothing against older people. It's always the other way around for some fricked up reason.
Fricking zoomers with their playing cards and tobacco!!
Oldgays remember the times before Marco polo and cristobal colonbos brought that gay shit over here...
They didn't affect each other until resource depletion became significant and rapid social collapse from peak oil took hold.

No it wasn't. Every generation comes up in a very different environment than their elders, and it's always been so.

They are afraid of getting cucked, either physically or metaphysically.
