literally any time the "trans panic" argument has been used. That's why everybody is like "you have to tell them you're trans before they get a chance to say hi otherwise you've misled them"

Yes plenty of times. They said I would've never guessed and the generic compliment such as "youre super pretty". Some asked questions about how I did it, one was a bit too invasive and asked about my genitals.

More than one seemed to believe that managing to pass is a proof that I really was a woman all along

this literally happens all the time. don’t feel like sharing an anecdote because and

Yeah, a few times. Women take it easier and fall back to the generic "OMG omg you're so pretty I wanna braid your hair OMG" crap. Guys are generally in disbelief.

I outed myself to one guy and he spent an entire afternoon in disbelief and saying "I had no idea" and "I really didn't know..." then the next morning we walked to work together and the first thing he said was that he couldn't believe yesterday.

Passing / stealth is just tag: +mindbreak but for cis people.

pretty much covered the bases wrg to my experience.

I have never intentionally blown my cover

seems like a lot of work tbh. unless you are surrounded by people who could react violently to finding out. if you pass it’s kind of like, who cares

        >seems like a lot of work tbh
You just don't say anything, that's it. All of the "work" is front loaded into passing to begin with, ie laser, ffs, voice training, etc. Once you pass nobody should be asking, and you're not going to be telling.

it’s rarely relevant, and i don’t mention it unless it is relevant. but if it is relevant, i’m not going to keep my mouth shut or start lying. so, it’s not something i mention very much, and when i do, people tend to be surprised by the information! that’s all

i guess i just hear so many stories of stealth ppl doing wild shit like. making up fake childhood memory stories so as to not blow their cover. and at that point my brain is like “why bother” is all

Yeah no, you don't have to live a double life. I can't even think of a time where a friend interviewed me about my past like that. You just don't talk about it the same way you don't talk about that time you made out with a sibling when you were both drunk.

As a turbo hon I've been mistaken for ftm many, many times, so when i say no I'm actually mtf, there is extreme disbelief and shock

    It dose happen
Be it a legit surprise or if they are just being nice and acting, I don't really know, or care, because I'm too hard on myself and just assume the worst.

My mother let it slip to my boss by accident on what was thankfully my last day at that job anyways.

She went from being super sweet and bringing me donuts n shit to just giving me the stink-eye

Sisters don’t ever tell people and also hex your oblivious boomer mother if she does

My mum tells everyone she meets then makes excuses for people when they misgender me "oh they're old" like this wouldn't be happening if you didn't literally tell everyone.

    >be mtf at cism friends birthday party
    >bring along other trans girl I've been on a couple of dates with
    >she brings up at one point something about keeping the balls after surgery
    >tell her she's dumb and they won't allow you to keep medical waste
    >jokes about balls suspended in jars ensue
    >cism friend's brother (successful documentary maker guy) is sitting near us and has clearly overheard
    >leans in and asks what we're talking about
    >i get uncomfortable but other girl says right out we're talking about after sexual reassignment surgery whether you're allowed to keep the balls
    >he opines for a bit and then asks how this hypothetical came up
    >"oh yea totally hypothetical, anon. I've never even met a troony.."
    >keep it going for a while and eventually I say we're trans but he just refuses to believe it and keeps insisting we're fricking with him
    >eventually accepts it but is really interested in us for the rest of the evening, giving us free drugs and drinks and stuff

inb4 this guy was a chaser. Maybe, but I doubt it. He seemed genuinely incredulous and surprised

Tbf he’s probably a chaser in the way that a 49 year old named John is a man

I once had a co-worker think I gave birth. She asked me who my nurse was and how they treated me in labor.
    >How did feel informing them you were trans?
I didn't say anything. It was funnier that way.

-when I meet older women they sooner rather than later ask if I have kids
-a cis friend told me once to not use perfume when I was sleeping in his son's bed for a couple of nights "because he notices everything" guess she didn't want to change the sheets lol
-late at parties random girls asking if I have a tampon
    -men opening doors for me
-christian girls inviting me to church
I take they would be surprised if I told.

Once I came out to a lesbian who was all over me, took me to dinner, groped me, took me to the movies, etc. When I told her she was shocked & I felt like shit. She disappeared after that.
