Im done, enough is enough, its like, Linux is good, but its wrestling with its own shadow who is also a giant.
Ill give it 5 more years for it to be good and come bak

Skill issu-ACK
You got cut off, I think you meant to say skill issue. Which you are correct.
>going back to windows
11 sucks ass still. I'm trying to change from it.
10 is stable.
>Linux is good
I'm itching to try Linux, but no idea if I should take it slow and try Linux Mint, or maybe tighten my belt a little and jump on ubuntu straightaway - but aesthetics are a big issue - it should look sleek and sexy. dark theme is a must.
I am also researching Zorin, elementary, et al distros.
literally rage-quit hackintosh half an hour ago - I hate that 1050ti doesn't have apple support. I was never into gaymen, so didn't get 1080ti.
I def want something modern, hence Linux. I'm sure it will take a few hours to make up my mind on one.
Definitely just go for mint if you've been on windows. Better to start with something usable and only get autistic as you discover more things you want to tweak.
linux mint has dark mode and the least autistic userbase (unless you're a help vampire)
What distro were you using? Keep in mind that a lot of distros are five years behind in features, and a lot of the ones that aren't (Ubuntu) fuck a lot of things up.
Ubuntu is not a more advanced or difficult distro than Linux Mint; it just has shittier design choices. They're both entry-level. IMHO, they're both ass, but Ubuntu has better themes and Mint does everything but theming the desktop better. Pop_OS! is the best Ubuntu derivative, though,
Intermediate distros would be Debian and vanilla Arch. Advanced distros are Gentoo, Bedrock, GUIX, etc.
If you want an easy experience that you don't need to know anything extra to get things working, go for Pop or Manjaro. If you want to learn things as quickly as possible, install Arch without an install script, use that for a couple months until you're comfortable with it, and then jump into Gentoo once you have a basic idea of how Linux works.
same happened to me, i just want to use linux but too much shit that doesn't work properly. i really want it to be good because i like it but i'll use windows until that day comes
Actual skill issue thread.
Posting from my functioning Linux distro. Feels good.
you've finally awoken, good for you
well thats the bloody thing. the marxists linux users want you to just submit, and its like, no
Enjoy Windows 10 LTSC while you can.
>Ill give it 5 more years for it to be good and come bak
I've been using Linux as my daily driver for 18 years now--things are much better than they used to be
this thread would be more worthwhile if you actually listed why you can't use it OP.
I've fucked around with Linux since 2003. It looks and functions nearly the same. Twenty years. And the only advances have been in... Desktop environment rice.
Yeah man 2003 Linux was great I loved not being able to play two audio streams at once and having alsa crash the entire system and having 3d acceleration support on 10% of the cards available.
Linus as a whole, desktop or server. Has improved dramatically since 2003. If you think otherwise you didn't use it back then.
MacOS is linux but actually working.
Just waitng on that hacked 64 bit windows xp.
Who'll release it?
I just got a Laptop that runs Windows 11. I tried for three hours to install gentoo, and I couldn't. Maybe that's a good thing...
>Running Windows 11 and not Jumali Krosktolov's Windows 3.1 Tiny for X64
Never heard of it
I've said that 10 years ago.
was waiting for this thread, same shit and pic every weekend lmfao
>Linux is good, but its wrestling with its own shadow

I'm sorry bro but linux has always been like that and it's in its essence. The point of linux is to take it and mold it to your own needs, it is not (and will never be) an OS ready for casual desktop use.
Your post isn't worth a thread.
Why are you homosexual tagging my post a billion times? Do you think I'm also your bogeyman, you fucking idiot? Go kill yourself.
