Then you should know that windows is using different scaling algorythms for integer and non-integer values, don't you?

It's not an issue of how good or bad is the scaling, it's the fact that scaling sucks and it's not worth the premium. Once my first 28"/4K/60 monitor died and I replaced it with a 32"/1440p/144Hz the other two got extremely mogged, even without taking the 144Hz into account. I have replaced two so far (when they died) and I'll replace the third 4gay monitor soon enough as well.
Also, just tested my 4K monitor with 200% scaling, yet it looks even shittier. Everything is huge and so much screen real estate is lost for nothing.
Your laptop screen is tiny. You aren't going to use your monitor like a fucking tablet. You don't need 6 gorillion PPI. You need a larger monitor with decent PPI.
My laptop monitor and external monitor have the same distance to my eyes. Why can't I get an external monitor with the same dpi so I don't have to use different scaling and it doesn't look like shit?
I never got why laptops larger than 17" are so rare (virtually non-existent). Sure you can connect it to a TV/external monitor, but it's just not the same.
>21 inch and 4k
Sorry to say that but you can only have 4k on 24inch and upward
Correct if I'm wrong
lg ultrafine 21.5" 4k
imac 21.5"
I see you like wasting money, sir
>$539.99
that DPI would be INSANE
well played Sir
Fuck that, give me a 42 inch 8k
Hard mode: OLED
that's weird
I want a 1260x960 960hz monitor
>14 inch, 1080p, 60hz, portable screen
yep, it's comfy
4K barely makes sense on a 32" monitor.
yes but loops back to perfectly sensible on 24-21" with 200% scaling.
If you need scaling, there's literally no point.
Anon have you never seen how OS UI toolkit scaling works? It's not just text.
I fell for the 4K meme 8 fucking years ago (I bought 3 monitors even), I know what I'm talking about.

Times have changed.
Find me a 36"/4K/144Hz monitor that costs under $600. I'll change my mind then and only then.
oh boy, bicubic upscaling of mixed image and text elements, my favorite
Moronic take.
If you can't read the small text, you simply can't perceive the detail, dumbass.
Get a larger 1440p monitor instead.
>what is ppi
Moron.
>what is distance from the screen
Midwit.
>1440p
Imagine coping with this trash stopgap resolution.
Imagine coping with a tiny ass screen because it's 4gay.
No, I have a 4k 27" and I fuckin love it.
I can give you something else that's 21 inch.
I'll give you a 4 inch 21k monitor
a kick in your teeth homosexual
My laptop has 200 dpi why can't my monitor just next to it

I doubt that you don't lean in closer when you are using your laptop.
the screen on my laptop is 4K at 16"

i had a 17" as a stupid college kid and it sucked
16" is the practical upper limit imo
I want a 20" laptop.
