ghosting?

>some days ago I joke I'm planning to suicide
>at first she jokes along but half way asks if I'm fine
>Sunday, friend tells me I'm an asshole that treats her badly. I just reply with a meme implying she's my pet.

For context, we are close friends and she likes me a lot. We text daily. Some of her stuff is still at my place kind of close. No I'm not a chick.
>we call later that day, she seems her usual happy, friendly self
>Monday, see she's not replying to my question "how you doing?"
>all day goes by, silence. Realize maybe I pissed her off. Tell her I'm sorry for being a jerk to her as a means to cope with my stress.
>no reply, not even seen
>Tuesday I go "negro, reply. I'll send you a cute doge"
>still no reply
>Wednesday, I get a text finally
>"I'm taking a break from you"

What does that mean? What's going on?

It means she doesn't want to talk to you anymore. It means leave her alone and stop texting her.

      Not talk temporarily or forever?

She put you on ice, realized what a shitty friend you are then walked away. You should, too.

Isn't that the lazy way out, as in, wouldn't talking it out and making up work after she's had some space?

We've been friends for half a decade. Often thanked her for her patience despite my toxic behavior.

Seems that her patience run out then

Can it be made up for? Can't be entirely too late, eh?

It is, and it was because of your behaviour. Nothing wrong with opening up to someone, being toxic was the problem

              Gotcha. Thanks.

Why do you act like this man? It’s time to take a look at how you’re showing up in the world..

Because I don't view her as an equal

                This might be the problem.

Dont see any reason to change it anytime soon. Depending on one's perspective maybe it is toxic maybe it isn't.

did it ever occur to you after five years that a better strategy would be not not behave in a toxic way towards somebody who's been there for five years of your shit to begin with? because y'know... this happens eventually?

My toxic side became more prevalent and obvious this year only since we got closer. It was a lot more hidden before. Because we only began to talk daily this year. But yeah, go figures, basically what you said still applies I suppose.

Sounds like there’s more to the story that you’re not telling us about. You also sound insufferable so it’s not surprising she wants to take a break from you.

Hit me. Ask anything. I'm an open book. I tried to keep OP short and straight to the point but I can go into detail. Just dont know where to start.

Oh yeah this is the 2nd time she's ghosted me. Lasting longer too. While I'm grateful she made me feel loved and cared for, on the other hand, eh....i dunno.

The 1st time was because she said she almost choked to death so I initiated some spicy jokes about it and said "don't care". Thought she'd handle it fine like my guy friends always do. She's normally a lot more boyish and able to have thick skin. Guess I was wrong that day, which disappointed me.

This is weird behavior from you and I hope this woman cuts you out of her life honestly.

You joked at the wrong time, try to think of your behaviour without justifying it.

I think the last straw was when she told you that you treated her badly and you gave no fucks. If you want her to talk to you again, try apologizing for being an asshole and work on your behavior. Better yet, don't talk to her until you've improved.

I wrote to her the following a couple days ago
      >sorry for being an asshole, it was immature of me to deal with my own problems by being shit towards you

      Good tips though, anon.

I would hate if I had a friend like that
    >suicidal
    >thinks public racism is funny
    >hates patience

      >suicidal
Not suicidal but I do once in a while make the joke of "if you ever cheat on me, my friend, I'll find you, cut my wrist open, and you'll watch. You'll have to live with it, not me" or "the reason I'm being an asshole to you is so that you dont get hurt once I do kill myself soon". I try to make it obvious that it's a joke.

      >thinks public racism is funny
She's actually racist and against immigrants. I'm OK with immigrants.

      >hates patience
      Yeah....I hate patience.
