I mostly use mine to reheat portions of soup so I don't have to dirty a whole new pot. Reheating over and over from the pot you cooked it in can really fuck up the texture while nuking a portion for a couple minutes barely affects it. That being said I also use a cover to trap the steam it generates inside the bowl the get it to temp faster.

However, there are plenty of nutrients left.

How can I microwave the food if it’s outside the microwave

        Anonymous

Yeah, the weakness of microwaves is they heat the outside first, they don't penetrate deep into food and instead the outer layer of food absorbs them, but they pass through glass and plastic well, which then traps the heat created.

I don't think any ionizing radiation comes out of a microwave but it could in theory raise the temperature of your bodily tissues slightly. I think cellphones do the same thing. I don't think anyone has ever conclusively linked the heating to cancer. Chances are you expose yourself to lead or weed killer on a regular basis or smoke cigarettes and see no issue because that's how the mind of the average user of this board works.

      Anonymous

It produces non ionizing radiation on a wavelength that interacts with water to make the water heat up.
Cellphone radiation is also non ionized rad but it is on a different wavelength despite it also being a very small wave, a "microwave".
You catch more heat from the processor heat of the phone than you would ever get from the wifi or phone signal of a modern phone.
There is no link with non ionizing rads and adverse effects in living tissue in normal conditions, there is just no organic process or way for them to interact with living tissue. That being said, high energy forms of these non ionizing rads can have effects in living tissue, which are ultra violet, light, infra red and then there is microwaves that borders the lines depending on the frequency and output.
Still there is a strong argument about the size of these waves, the new 5G and how they are even smaller than the microwave oven waves, which could mean they carry even more energy. Still output and dosage is key to disprove any effect.

Yes, microwaves are 10g, so those towers are half way there.

Certifiable microwave technician here. Upon leaving a repair shop we scan those things for leakage. Normally none unless the unit was dropped and the frame sprung and a door closure gap created. So you're quite safe from microwave radiation around microwave ovens... However, the power transformer makes a HUGE oscillating magnetic field of the sort called EMF, that field is possibly nasty and is bad out to around 5 feet away from the thing. So you're safe from microwaves but not EMF standing near it.

Those don't do shit on living tissue. Those must be ultra low frequencies, most equipment with moving electrons produce some sort of low frequency non ionizing radiation. They are even bigger than radiowaves, they are probably several hundred meters in length.
I would worry more about the beryllium from the magnetron if i were you because that thing will cause cancer if it is breathed.

Why would lifeless water be unhealthy? If it removed minerals somehow I would get it. You realize that your water heater heats water to the point shit can't survive it otherwise you would get Legionella built up in your pipes, right?

It's not killing the bacteria that makes it lifeless, the water itself is life and the EMF does something to it.
Also don't drink water that has been used to generate hydroelectric power. Life has been sucked out of it, which is how the electricity was ripped from it. You can't force water to do extra work and expect it to have the same energy as water that did not have to do work, going to the heavens/clouds is how water is re energized.

Gravity pulls it down to the catch basin where it is then forced through the turbine by the weight of the rest of the water behind it.
The turbines spin as the weight of the water pushes against them causing the electromagnetic effect that creates electricity.

What a great trick to get something from nothing. Except you didn't. You took the energy out of the water, and now that water is lifeless and depleted. Ready for goy consumption.

Turns out the glass blocks the microwaves. You're avoiding the one spot where your gonads could have been saved. Don't worry though it's far too late.

No that's fucking stupid, Microwaves won't harm you any more than the millions of radio waves that your bombarded with every single day of your life.

There is a faraday cage inside the door and also the rest of the device is shielded so no radiation leaks out. I would wait until it beeps all of its beeps before you open the door though, probably a smart Idea.

Yeah, sure, but you don't have to be obsessive about it. Just don't stand there.

microwaves are boring anyway. stand somewhere more interesting.
