Once you drive a kart you can never go back. Cars are super LAME.

Sure, just make sure you only ever need to ride it on a race track on a sunny day.
God forbid you have to drive over a curb on the way there you fucking muppet.

      Anonymous

Yeah because parking lots, roads and tracks are full of curbs.
      No windows on your bus?

Attacking the curbs is an essential part of track driving you just outed yourself as having 0 seat time

They make these, but as real cars that are driveable on the roads. They're called kits cars, or just self-built tube chassis cars.
Drop an LS/tranny in it, beat every car on the street, etc.

Yuck get that pigfat shit the fuck out of my thread

      than ANY car
A dog is faster than a horse around a living room. Even if a shitter kart has the p/w to match a sports car down a twisty road, it wouldn't be able to cope in the corners due to having no suspension. In the real world cars reach high cornering speeds on bumpy pavement, not at all like kart tracks.

      >no suspension for weight shift
      >no diff
      >rarely come with 4 wheel brakes
Fast or not, Karts drive like a bucket of shit.

Suspension just takes away from the driving experience.

Sure.... if the "driving experience" you desire is spinning out any time you try to dance with the limit

Spinning out in a kart is fun and not gay whereas spinning out in a car is not fun and gay. Karen wouldn’t get it

Not spinning out, but maintaining control when dancing with the limit, because you have a soft compliant suspension which allows smooth breakaway and weight shift, is even funner than both.
            Believe it or not.

Sorry bro you’re retarded. Sport cars have firm suspension to be more like go karts because it more funny. If you want to drive a soggy purse of dog shit be my guest. But if you want a genuine raw aggressive driving experience there’s absolutely nothing with gayass suspension that can touch a kart. Not on the track, the streets or your mothers flappy blown out pussy.

                Anonymous

Yes I do drive a soft compliant car and it's that compliance which allows me to have complete control over it at the limit, which is what I enjoy far more than outright speed.
Can you do the same in your kart?
Can you comfortably throw it into an inertia drift around a mountain corner with no runoff at high speed?

One of my goals in life is to home engineer a road legal single seater that makes a corvette look like a toy.

Been thinking about how to make a rwd gasser with 150hp of electric motor driving the front (plus that sweet sweet regen braking bonus) in a computer controlled e-awd type of setup, but the weight ends up being too much for the design intentjon to have useful battery life. Maybe if/when solid state batts are a viable thing.

High speed karts are for smooth tracks or the very young. Get past your 30s and let me know how much you like the idea, lifestyle/work choices dont even matter. Your bones/cartilege harden up regardless.

I want to commute in a kart style car some day. I used to have a Miata with no doors, that was pretty close. Should've converted it into an exocet but I didn't want to. I'll buy one from someone else someday. Or get an Ariel Atom

this reminds me of when my dad said his shitty 4x4 sandrail was faster but i destroyed it after hitting 2nd gear in my 150hp shitbox
i seriously doubt it bro. take it to any actual road and it'll get killed by some sub 150hp shitbox.
