Yeah, but rapists and murderers will always exist. Would you rather the murder detectives and CSI not exist to catch them?

      Does Satan exist?

I dunno about Satan but the enemy of man is everywhere.

Satan as a physical being may or may not exist but that is unimportant compared to the innumerable evils that Satan represents which are found everywhere on Earth. Is there a being out there that personifies evil? I don't know, in this life I probably never could. But I do not need to look far to find evil itself.

Christianity is clearly dualistic (it clearly believes in a Satan that is not subordinated to God), but your average Christian will act like the world is all flowers and sunshine and we never left the Garden of Eden the moment he meets a Gnostic

The energy that wills positive and negative action into being will always be one energy. It balances itself out. The swing of the pendulum on the grandfather clock. Itself is nondual, though its actions are dual.

The point being, evil is glorified and exaggerated to justify the existence of a dualistic worldview.

In other words "we can only be good if out there exists evil".

If the world was perfect, religion would be redundant.

So it's in the best interest of the churches to keep evil alive, or at least the exaggerated idea of it.

Evil is to dualistic religions as hamas is to Israel. They ensure one another's continued existence in an endless cycle.

A good comparison, because it was israel that created hamas.

The cycle will end once good people are stronger than evil people

        What does that look like?

Murder? Genocide? Is that what good people do?

It looks like the Gollum dancing himself into a pit of fire due to his joy of victory .

A more perfect image I cannot think of .

Sure . But you don’t get to stay in the Shire and wank it off - you participate , you throw yourself in good . The conclusion is still given to you and not created by you .

well wait a minute because if you removed evil then we would be able to just chill and enjoy life instead of having to worry about bullshit!
