Does your travel sense pass?

> "If they're going to the Student Society building in Trondheim, for example, men usually go in the general direction where it's located. Women usually orient themselves along a route to get there, for example, 'go past the hairdresser and then up the street and turn right after the store'," he says.

nobody does this you just use whichever makes more sense in the situation. if someone asked me how to get to the next apartment complex i would use turn here, past this, etc. if someone asked me how to get to the next city over i would use north/south/east/west and use distances

      >how do I get to the city
      >it's to the northeast about 30 miles
      >turn up the street at the intersection then yield left and the fork then you're on the state highway follow that for a while and then you get to the end of it there'll be signs and another highway that'll take you to the city
      which do you want?

i would probably give a mix of both tbh the second one is needlessly complicated and theyll probably forget and the first one is too vague

I don't see how it's needlessly complicated giving you the highways that go there is the simplest I could possibly make it without giving you a map so you can figure it out yourself

first works for me, there's only one road per cardinal direction from my town until you get 45 min away

yeah I chose a longer trip and a more complicated route on purpose.

I'm a cis male but I live in Boston, so there is really no concept of North South East or West, so yeah I use landmarks and roads. When you switch between the T and traveling on surface streets, it's an entirely different orientation as well.

Yes lol but the question was about "passing" so I figured it was mostly aimed at tranners.

Im retarded cuz I honest to god don't know the name of even a single road, even the ones I use, I don't where Im at 97% of the time, I don't know locations either.

I can't really give anyone directions, unless you like want directions to bake a cake or something.
