The two commandments on which everything in the bible depends are love god and love your neighbor
having homosexual sex isn't loving god
having homosexual sex isn't loving your neighbor because it is for your own pleasure and achieves nothing besides your own pleasure
    therefore, don't have homosexual sex

      Is eating loving your neighbor?
      Is breathing loving God?
Are you going to stop eating and breathing?

      >The two commandments on which everything in the bible depends are love god and love your neighbor
Evangelical horseshit, lame sophistry, word games. Selective application of critical thinking and leaps of logic. The Bible does not wholesale condemn everything that some fat kid can't qualify as either "loving god" or "loving neighbor." If it did, there would be no point in mentioning all the other things that the Bible mentions.

In the OT it is referred to as an abomination along with eating shellfish and wearing clothing made from more than one material. If I understand correctly, these were cultural violations(un-Hebrew behavior) to the ancient Hebrews but were not considered "sins".
Paul condemns it explicitly in the NT.

      >In the OT it is referred to as an abomination along with eating shellfish and wearing clothing made from more than one material. If I understand correctly, these were cultural violations(un-Hebrew behavior) to the ancient Hebrews but were not considered "sins".
This is great can't wait to read the OT scriptural context that establishes the distinction between things that are abominations and things that are sins and where exactly gay sex is adjudicated.
Oh no it doesn't exist? It's just nonsense from fat kids running laps trying to justify what their hick parents taught? Well that's a shame.
What else do we have? Maybe we could consult the text and interpret it in the most direct way possible?

        >This is great can't wait to read the OT scriptural that establishes the distinction between things

It’s already long been done. It’s divided between ritual, ceremonial and moral laws. Ritual and ceremonial laws only apply to israelites. The moral laws still apply to gentiles and that includes a ban on gay sex.

I’ve seen homosexuals conflate love in the bible with sex. To them love = sex. Of course bible God wouldn’t have anything against two men loving each other, but it’s the sexual acts between them that he has a problem with.

au contrare. you are the one conflating sex with romantic relationships. can you not acknowledge there's difference between platonic and romantic relationships, and that difference is deeper than just sex?

Doesn’t matter. Even if there was a verse that directly said “ALL MONKEYPOX SPREADING homosexualS SHALL GO TO HELL” there would still be pozzed people trying to claim it didn’t really mean that.

    >God creates Adam alone, wants Adam to only talk to God every day for eternity, has a great time for 120 years
    >Adam gets lonely, God creates a Woman
    >Woman disobeys God, Adam dies for her and disobeys with her and is kicked out
    >God commands man to be under a curse for disobedience to be forced to cling to his wife and she to him

    >God floods and kills all sinful flesh (homos, pedos, incest that wasn’t blessed, etc)
    >thousands of years later commands to kill homos by stoning or by fire
    >burns homos turning them to salt from fire from heaven

Not that many years ago, modern society used to torture and kill homos. Homos were lucky to survive in America if found out. They could get murdered and traps often were murdered.

It’s only in post-9/11 times that there is a new push from democrats to keep them alive and to even promote it, indoctrinate children, groom them and teach them that all sexuality is wonderful and good. Pornography is also somewhat new in its ability to reach children through internet. So probably likely why.

Incest is allowed in the Bible under certain conditions like Adam and Eve, yes this was incest. He called her none of my bones, flesh of my flesh. You seem to know more than God though, how many Man and creatures and universes have you created yourself by speaking The Word?

It literally says in plain black and white text where Adam and Eve's sons' wives came from and I suggest you read it some time so you understand how silly all this is.

Why are LGBT people so desperate to demand that Christianity needs to accept them and that ackchyually Jesus never taught to be anti-gay? Most LGBTs aren't Christians anyway, or even religious at all, so why do they care? Why not just leave Christians to believe what they believe, rightly or wrongly, and then go do your LGBT things somewhere else?

I guess because only israelites taught to be anti gay in their own people, nation, and borders.

It wasn’t like a decree from God to go out and find every gay in every corner of the earth. They could hide and be cursed over there if they wanted.

Garithos in Warcraft is who that reminds me of.

Jesus Christ taught that all you needed was to be saved, and works shall follow the believer wherever they go as long as they are saved.

if you want me to be honest, i think this is one of the things that would have been really controversial for jesus (if it was a common thing among them, which it isnt because of their culture) because it is part of tradition but not law

law really forbids immoral behavior, this means things like lusting after another mans wife or property, letting envy get into you and allowing you to make bad decisions instead of choosing the way of the lord (righteousness)

in the "heaven" jesus talks about homosexuality wouldnt really be a thing because no one sees each other like a "thing" and things would be at such high base that someone doing something that at most would lead to exclusion (because of disease risk)

Israelites had a strong fear of homosexual rape which made them hate all homosexual acts as a result

    > > v. 22, for ancient Israelites homosexual rape is as quintessential an expression of anti-social behaviour as cannibalism is in the Greek tradition. Strangers in need of succour in the Odyssey find themselves being eaten, whereas Israelite strangers are threatened with homosexual rape. A number of threads in the Israelite tradition indicate special disapproval of homosexuality as a form of relationship that blurs neat categories of creation as the Israelites understood them (see e.g. Lev 18:22; 20:13, and Deut 22:5 in context). This negative attitude even to consensual relations between men blends in Gen 19 and Judg 19 with the frequently found theme of the womanization of the enemy Other, as discussed at f UDG 16:19, 21 (Samson) and 4:27 (Sisera) - Oxford bible commentary
