I do. Born in 1993. Used to call up friends and schedule sleepovers and order pizza. I also used to check movie times in the paper.

As a kid all I did was go to Wikipedia and look up historical events or movies on YouTube back when you could find crazy shit on it

It wasn't snappy and seamless like it is today but it was infinitely faster than the alternative at the time. Even as early as the early 2000s with PDAs running on wifi in public places that the admins never bothered to secure because who the fuck even had hardware to take advantage of that shit at the time.

I have a smart phone, I use it like a regular home phone, leaving it in a drawer, I don't take it with me when I go out.

Absolutely. The possibility of the entire world collapsing and going back to the pre-smartphone era is the only thing keeping me going.

    >the world seemed infinitely bigger because you didn’t have access to it in its entirety 24/7
    >stronger bonds formed by hanging out, doing shit, and generally being outside of the house instead of sitting on a couch staring into the phone
    >if you were using the internet to talk to people, it was on a based instant messaging service like MSN or AIM
    >Yahoo if you smoke cock
    >life was generally less stressful knowing you weren’t expected to constantly respond to every single message you get in that very moment unless you had a pager

The world we were born in no longer exists and every person responsible deserves to be lined up in front of a wall and shot.

Yeah coz my Nokia E63 refused to die and I therefore started the smart phone thing late. Now I smash a smart phone every year or two. I'm looking forward to iPhones becoming only 10% of the market.

Whats weird is that when I leave my phone behind I feel stressed and naked. I dont even do much on my phone, im a friendless loser with no one to talk to. But simply not having the phone around agitates me for some reason.

Yea millenials were last gen to live adolescence without cell phones let alone smart phones.

Rich kids had a razr, normal kids got a samsung flip phone in last year of high school.

We used to "skype" by calling our friends and using the "flash" option to get our other friend on the line.

    Life was slower, calmer, smarter.
