No it isn't. That's the accent. Diverging from that is West London and New England.
Ayy's accent is Californian, or as they call it "unaccented English".

sounds like a pretty standard accent to me. mid michigan here, sounds like any girl you'd run into on a campus these days. definitely more of a city accent than a countryside accent, and probably at least middle class upgringing since its not full of slang or blackaneese, but yeah thats about as general american an accent as you can get.

this was a pretty standard transatlantic, if you listen to any interviews from that time period that kind of accent was very common on the east coast. pretty sure the modern day new york and boston accents are very direct descendants of it

        >pretty sure the modern day new york and boston accents are very direct descendants of it
You can also listen to the likes of John Cleese and Rowan Atkinson, that's West London another descendant.

I have never heard it referred to as anything other than a Mid-Atlantic accent and I've never heard Transatlantic used in any context other than travel. Is this one of those things where retards fucked up the phrase for so long that etymologists just gave up and accepted the retard definition?

I've only ever heard it called transatlantic.

I think of the transatlantic accent as that fancy quasi-English accent that American east coast old money use to speak with, especially women who were taught to talk that way. All the female love interests in film who are supposed to be well bred / high class have it until generally sometime around the late 60s, think of Audrey Hepburn etc kind of still spoke in that way. The latest that comes to mind actually is some of the old Hollywood people in the 70s still, like the mouse woman in Secret of Nymh still has it

That's the mid-atlantic accent, dingus. It was an acting affectation taught at acting schools in the early days because microphones sucked ass and actors had to annunciate their words stronger without sounding retarded.

Also so British and American audiences could watch the same films. It's not a real accent but it can plausibly pass for either dialect.

No. It's always been called Trans-Atlantic because its a combo of the American and English accent. Mid-Atlantic refers to the Pennsylvania and Maryland region.

yes because trans atlantic refers to both sides of the ocean, as in across the ocean, like transnational means across the country or across countries

    >"I have never and I don't think I will ever think of myself as beautiful," Taylor-Joy told The Sun. "I don't think I'm beautiful enough to be in films. It sounds pathetic and my boyfriend warns me people will think I'm an absolute d*** for saying these things, but I just think I’m weird-looking."
    >The rising star, who was signed to Storm Management modelling agency when she was 16, also revealed she "genuinely had a panic attack" while filming Emma.
    >"I thought, 'I am the first ugly Emma and I can't do this', because the first line in the movie is, "I'm handsome, clever and rich'," she explained.

That's kinda crap. She does need the right cinematographer tho, Flimflam Shamalam definitely knew what he had in Split. I was disappointed by The Queen's Gambit, it was good, but there were so many shots where the opportunity to make my heart horny were passed over while at the same time there's half a dozen scenes where she's prancing around in her underwear like a slut.

The Gambit was purely feminist. Maybe that's why they didn't try too hard to make her look hot. But the unexpected effect is that a lot of guys just wanted to dm her on ig...

      >I´m ugly
Not quite, but not Hepburn either and that is the reason behind her getting cast. Because it brings near the feeling of identification of the audience when showing an "almost cute", instead of a "perfect 10". Its is more a charisma and expressivity thing, so people can remember a "unusual but somewhat cure" face.

I think she’s the most beautiful woman that’s ever lived. She genuinely takes my breath away. And I’m not a weird waifu or coomer or whatever. Never really even cared about celebrity. But dang oh man. She is so beautiful. She does look like an alien or an angel or something.

Transatlantic accents share a commonality with british accents in the use of soft R's. It's basically what english english evolved into in the east coast americas while the further out west you go the harder the R's get pronounced.

It's "fake" but it was taught in elocution and grammar schools so uppercrust tools actually spoke with it, like Bill Buckley and Jackie Kennedy. Pete aping it was historically accurate.

its a perfect set of lips that only the purest of whites have as a facial feature. n-word lips are fat and shapeless. some people have real thin lips. a cupids bow is like the perfect set of lips.
