Does?

Does LULZ listen to music while they read? Does it enhance your reading experience?
Personally when I read history I like to listen to the music of the period in the background to get the historical vibe of the times.

I can't listen to music whilst reading, I get distracted too easy. I need to be in a state of perfect silence, then I can read for hours.

Fuck no. I can't even have music on nearby when I'm talking to people in public, shit fucks with my concentration.

    Pretty sure I'm autisti.

Helps memory and visualization I find. Can't be pop music, or anything where you're overly invested in the lyrics (or the vocals are mixed too far forward to the same effect).

Why on Gods earth would you blast yourself with emotional impressions from two competing sources at the same time?

    >Does LULZ listen to music?
I'd normally play some R.E ambience or Silent Hill ambience with really low volume. It beats the awkward silence.
    >Does it enhance your reading?
    Nah.

Black metal, usually on the atmospheric side, on low volume. As of late, I've been getting into cosmic black metal, which is perfect for reading I find. DSBM is good too.

Very rarely do I listen to music while reading, and if I do it's never anything with words in it. One thing I do more often, however, is listen to ambient sounds. YT has a bunch of great videos for pretty much any mood, place, weather, etc.

Entirely depends on my mood. Sometimes I listen to some forest ambient noises, occasionally I listen to classical music (Bach is my favorite), and even if I'm ashamed to admit it, there are days when I happen to be in a lofi mood.
And let's not even talk about ASMR, but in that case, I usually opt for ear licking and end up fapping anyway.
But on certain days all of these options are too distracting and I cannot concentrate if I hear even just the smallest noise. That happens most often when I'm reading a language I'm intermediate at, and I need to focus to actually comprehend the sentences.

very rarely do I listen to music while reading, mostly it's either silence or I blast white noise or ambient sounds to drown out the shit I do not want to hear

I'm not sure if you can call it listening if my attention drifts in and out, from one thing to the other.

Instrumental electronic or classical music. If there are lyrics I can't concentrate on the text.

I read on public transports, sometimes it's nice having music, low volume and without any voices, but usually I do without, just zone in on the book and ignore everything else until I have to get off.
