    >the only solo albums Andre 3000 has released are one for a kids cartoon show and an odd flute improv album

No. It'll be boring and tedious but retards on LULZ still claim it's ATOY for a week until fantano reviews it.

I'm not usually into flute music, and if his small improv with it from minimal youtube videos is any indication, I probably wouldn't check it out if it wasn't him. Will still give a listen when it's released, but I'm not expecting much.

it's an above average ambient music. it blows out that ambient aphex twin album though, so rymers are gonna jerk it off for a while.

it's a decent ambient album. it's better than aphex twin's ambient album. rym users overrate that album. therefore, they will overrate this album.

its literally Jon Hassel meets Tangerine Dream

      youtube algorithm core.

yeah its just hipster new age shit. people are going to love it because itll be the first time a lot of normies hear this sound, so they'll call it revolutionary, when really this type of sound has been going on since the 80s.

i gotta admit though, some great textures on here. seems like carlos nino is the backbone of all of this.

it's hilarious reading the comments praising it as if Andre is Johann Sebastian Bach himself when in reality the entire album is just an improvised audio shitpost of whatever felt good at the moment

It feels like a pure, unadulterated, unfilted shitpost. He got sick of people begging him to make an album when he's just fucking tired and got over music after he sold his creative soul when making S/LB and then Idlewild flopped. He's 100% studio/basement sessions only now. He can afford to keep it for "choice ears only". The modern music community and customerbase is cancerous. I don't know how a sane person would want anything to do with us unless they had to pay some bills.

nailed it. this album is a "fuck you" to the people who have been bothering him for new music, and would end up complaining if it didn't sound exactly like outkast

Which Outkast? There were people losing their shit over Stankonia because it wasn't just another ATLiens/Aquemini back in the day. Music fans in general are really annoying and toxic, rap fans act like they own their artists.

i'm biased because i love new age music, but i'm digging it for the most part. the synth flute sound is pretty silly though, like a parody of kitaro
