do anglos lack real culture?

im not saying they don't have any culture or shit, but like, they don't have colorful traditions, vivid national folklore, local myths and stuff like that. like compare the culture of england to spain or france, or the culture of the us to argentina or colombia. they feel very soulless.

This is not particularly unique to English. Every language that neighbors China is choke full of Chinese loan words which they kept importing over the centuries of Chinese cultural hegemony
But only an honest to God moron would ever think to confuse Mandarin with Korean.
Germans also say French words like chance, Chirurgie, Armee, Batterie, Palast, etc. That doesn't make German understandable to French

English derived cultures are bad at everything but literature
      >but muh English language
we're talking about actual output rather than pragmaticism. Spanish is the most spoken language in the whole world but not because spain is flourishing but only because of the relevant circumstances. Anglophone cultural output outside of literature is BAD. It's not just America. Look at British composers for example - oh wait there's nothing there.

Had Germany won then we would be flourishing in the cultural sphere, rather than the civilizational which the British excelled at, which is why they were the first to industrialize. Read Oswald Spengler

The crux of the argument is that Britain's specialty ISNT music nor IS IT remotely its aristic sphere on the same level as Germany's or France's where they excelled in their respective mediums. Holy frick you IQfy mouth breathing morons are insanely dense. For instance, one britoid can be good at metaphysics but not all of the British can be like him. Yeah and Indians occupy 90% of tech jobs. Is India really a superpower? Dense c**t. Look into the history of mathematics. Leibniz, Gauss, Von Neumann, etc. all made the internet, rocket travel, and the computer possible. What Britain did with the "hard sciences" was apply them to their imperialist agenda like building textile machines in India. That's all they're good at. They're by no means responsible for doing all the hard abstractions. Just take a look at Gödel taking shots at Russel and the analytics

what are you talking about? england has a rich cultural heritage. i am not american, australian, or canadian, so i cannot speak for them however. england's folklore is also very extensive. it is true the vast majority of young people today know absolutely nothing about it, but that is a reflection of our times, not england. most colombian youth are probably ignorant to their nation's folklore and history. and you know what's really funny, our culture and folklore have been absorbed by people from all over the world. here are a few things specifically from anglo/celtic tradition: fairies, dwarfs, elves, the typical 'wizard' which is just flamboyant druid, the green man, and the stereotypical damsel in distress or princess.

I genuinely have no idea what OP has in mind when referring to whatever France has which England would lack. What is more vivid in France that is not present across the Channel?
Also note that France and England overlap and share their culture, for obvious reasons.

Englishman here. I can speak for England, but not New World nations (who lack a rich cultural heritage for obvious reasons).

The most significant reason is the legacy of the Norman conquest and the shift away from the Germanic cultural sphere towards France and the continent. Pre-1066, our understanding of ourselves was firmly rooted in Germanic heritage, culture and customs. 1066 changed that. England went from being the home of the Anglo-Saxons to simply being the fief of a foreign feudal lord. We no longer had had an indigenous elite to guide and shape our identity, our language was discriminated against and, following the conquest of Wales, the new elite decided to establish King Arthur and the heritage of the Britons as our national mythology instead. It wouldn't until be the Tudors that something resembling an organic England appeared again, by which time our indigenous understanding of ourselves had long since been corrupted.

The Normans and the French for that matter themselves are also Germanic though.

I wouldn't call it "corrupted", it's simply different.
I personally love France and see nothing wrong with us having these ties to the continent thanks to them. Belgium or Switzerland are also half Frankified countries, so we are not alone in this.

French isn't too hard to read.
The big deal is English changed from it drastically with pronunciation over time making the spoken language difficult.

For the US of A, it possesses everything you could ask for from a vibrant culture, but others (Europeans especially) seem despise it or look down on them for elitist reasons.
    Music wise:
    >Bluegrass, country, Jazz, Rock and Roll, Rap, Appalachian yodeling, etc.
    Painting wise
    >Hudson River school, American modernism, Tonalism, American Barbizon, etc.
    Films and Theater
    >Citizen Kane, 2001: a Space Odyssey, a Streetcar named desire, All Quiet on the Western Front (1930 film), Casablanca, Death of a Salesman, 12 Angry Men, the Godfather, Vertigo, etc.
    Folklore creatures and myths
    >Mothman, Arizona Lights, New Jersey Devil, the Goat man, the Headless Horseman, Wendigos, Skin walkers, etc.
Now you'll say 'but some of these things are STOLEN from other cultures!' to which I'll simply point out that the Ancient Romans hijacked Greek deities and architecture lmao. Everyone copies and adopts things from other cultures, like the entirety of fricking Christianity which began in the Levant but then spread to Europe and became the center of life across medieval European cultures.
Aside the listed things, we then got all the little quirks and habits which distinguish Americans and make them stand out in foreign places. You can hate these American quirks, you can call them stupid and unworthy of any admiration, but they're still expressions of American culture and they exist. These Americanisms include: their views of racial identity, their beliefs about the role of government in society, the clothes which they wear and what they consider appropriate in different occasions, the foods they prepare and how they modify new foods from abroad, the way their houses are designed and set out, the way they act in School and the way they act in University, their accent, their slang, etc.
