But all those middle school kids in the 90s picture are now post-35 year old neckbeards like the people in your image.
It's the same fans, there just aren't NEARLY as many of them. Most moved on with their lives after 2001 or so. Wrestling as an industry is floated by the leftovers now, and the small amount of children they'll produce.
I do, I was a kid back then so I used to watch the attitude era with my grandma, we didn't miss a single episode, then I started high school so I didn't watch that much but I did watch most of the ruthless aggression era, then I just stopped liking wrestling. I started watching again thanks to WM 2020 and here I am, 33 years old
I'm from latin america, WWF was BIG in here so it wasn't that much of a deal, everyone but religious nutjobs saw it at the time.
I can't imagine why COVIDMania brought you back.
I have a friend who endured the PG era and he asked me if we could watch it together since he knew I used to watch wrestling, I said yes just to be nice and to be honest I had a great time
I grew up with it as a kid, yes I still watch it but only after a ten year hiatus. I mainly watch Japanese/ Joshi stuff now but I still watch WWE for Iyo
40 year old here. Started watching wrestling with Sting vs. Flair at Clash of Champions '88. I lost interest when I went to college in 2000.
I would tune I'm every now and then just to see what was happening. I remember watching WWE when Daniel Bryan was champion and thinking "Jesus Christ, this is what wrestling has come to? This bland midget frickface is the World Champion?"
I started watching again a couple of years ago after listening to clips of shoot interviews and podcasts on YouTube.
I can't stand WWE, because it's so boring and childish. I only really watch the PPVs.
I watch Dynamite on Wednesdays. It has higher highs and lower lows than WWE, but their bad stuff is so bad that it's at least entertaining to laugh at and not so boring.
I stopped watching RAW back then during Triple H's reign of terror and then stopped watching Smackdown when they moved Cena to RAW, can't remember the exact reason but at that point I was already only watching PPVs with friends pretty much, I did visit Fhite when there was a wrestlemania and so if it's worth a mention but the rest of the year was like "wrestling?, lmao".
Now what got me back was /asp/ itself, since I enjoy trekking I decided to check the board and god I was not ready for all the creativity and madness, it was like /b/ in 2005 but less moronic and with some moderation, what sealed the deal was smackdown 2016 (which was fantastic for the most part) and then AEW giving injecting new hope and hype into the hobby.
But a few years later and I'm back to square one really, only watching PPVs if even that, Austin at wrestlemania had me marking like a 4 years old during Christmas though
I think a lot of WCW fans just stopped.
A lot of Attitude era fans stopped during the RA and PG eras.
Many went to MMA which picked up wrestling style presentation and characters.
The ones remaining are the sad 34-50 year olds now. What I don't get is how so many of them became pozzed and cry about Attitude era raunchiness and love inclusion and flippyshit. I feel so out of step with them.
I should get an award for watching from 2002 - present and not missing a single episode. U sad frickers got pleb filtered by a lot, u guys missed out on the kino fed that was TNA Wrestling.
No.

I’m 35 years old and Dominick, rhea and the judgement day got me back into wrestling.
That's kind of sad honestly. I'm 37 and still like wrestling so that's also sad.
Why do we do this to ourselves? Why does our lifes suck so much?
Mine's pretty good actually, I just accept that I have some weird niche interests.
I can validate you by saying I'm very similar. Nice to meet you.
You tell me. but in all seriousness,
Yea, those kids grew up into these . Wrestling viewership leans towards over 40 in age
AE chad here, I do but mainly AEW
WWE is getting better again though
I do, I was a kid back then so I used to watch the attitude era with my grandma, we didn't miss a single episode, then I started high school so I didn't watch that much but I did watch most of the ruthless aggression era, then I just stopped liking wrestling. >33
>he was watching the hyper sexualized attitude era as like a 8 year old with his fricking grandma
Bit weird, lad

Not really. My grandparents watched the Jerry Springer show. It was just a different time.
The entire 90s was hyper sexualized anon
I can't imagine why COVIDMania brought you back.
most moved on but at the same time most of the remaining fans these days are kids who watched in the 90s when it was popular
WCWchad here. Quit watching wrestling when WWF bought them and didn't start watch wrestling again until AEW started. Frick the fed btw
The average fan is 50 to 60 currently. Of course most of them watched during that period.
30 here.
nope. i only watch old videos and stuff from like 2008 or earlier.
i dont watch AEW or new WWE. Its all trash
Yes but I've dropped pretty much all American wrestling and have become a joshichad.
90schad and no. just being on here is my way of keeping up with it but i don't actively watch anymore.
Yeah I do, but only WrestleMania season and maybe SummerSlam if the card is decent.
nah.
i only really come here for the no milly meme that shits hilarious
and i can tell i'm not missing much. everything i see here just makes me glad i don't watch anymore.
yes

Yeah, just old shit.
i only watch now whenever a retired wrestler shows up and that's it. i don't care about any of the current full time wrestlers.
they're the only ones still watching
