i actually have extensive designs for a nuclear desalination plant i’d like to pitch one day. with just a simple 2 loop PWR running at 900 MW you’d be able to desalinate about 250 million gallons of ocean water per day. build it in new mexico and pipe it over to california, and you could produce about $2-4 million per day in revenue while also saving the natural rivers and lakes
i could spend years educating you on all of the design considerations that prevent nuclear fuel cells from becoming nuclear warheads. the amount of engineering and mathematics required to make nuclear fuel NOT explode is just as extensive as the science behind making it explode at the magnitude of modern hydrogen bombs
