You should read Thomas Aquinas. He will convert you to Christ from your heresy.

Why do zoomer tradcaths love this medieval theologian they've never read so much?
He outlines almost all Catholic theology in the Summa. He gives an account of Catholic soteriology developing from Anslem, he explains the nature of the sacraments, he gives an account of angels, all framed around Aristotelianism, Neoplatonism, and Augustinianism.
You haven't read him though you've only seen a youtube video about him
I have thoroughly read large swaths of the Summa.
Anon, you're a tradcath on LULZ, we know you don't read books
It's a larp.
Correct. Tradcaths have heard that Aquinas was le genius theologian.
because he talks 'intelectually' (i.e. you don't understand shit without footnotes).
He's medieval, and therefore trad and le based.
Catholics are just Papist-worshiping heretics, they're about as Christian as JWs and Mormons.
The people who most hate the Pope are Catholics THOUGH. Protestants never sacked Rome. Catholic "defenders of the faith" have on several occasions
Reading Aquinas made me feel embarrassed for Christcucks.
What is the Orthodox Thomas Aquinas?
Gregory Palamas.
Ah yes, a 10 minute video will explain and refute this extremely complex and in depth theological tradition.
Its reason for pause
It's really not.
ah yes, a "no u" will explain and refute this 10 minute video and the theological tradition behind it.
Your initial response was basically a "no u". You're such a hypocrite.
When I read Aquinas, I immediately lost all respect I had for Catholics (which wasn't much, but still). They claim to be more intelligent that other Christcucks, but this claim doesn't hold up to scrutiny.
The reformers already refuted it 500 years ago.
Peter Hitchens, CS Lewis, Tolkien and Chesterton already have but I want to read Aquinas anyway
Did this guy actually say masturbation is worse than rape?
Yes.

The "unnatural vice" is a euphemism for masturbation.

This reads like a computer trying to understand morality, and failing badly.
Well, yeah.
Just fucking read Trent Catechism, all what you need to know about theology is there.
I took a class on Thomas Aquinas and Natural Law. I don't see how that could convert anyone. It's pretty much theological arguments in the form of legal commentary, kinda similar in format to the Talmud, with Aquinas arguing with and clarifying other scholar's statements on the nature of law.
Also my professor was an uber Catholic who did everything he could to bring Catholic apologetics into the classroom which made it a little weird, but it did give me a stronger understanding of traditional Christian ethics and how to argue against it.
