It seems like before the 1970s most families could survive off of the father wages. Did women entering the work force bring about the decline of wages in Western society?

No
Wages went up
Can you please stop parroting this common lump-of-labor fallacy?
There is not a limited number of jobs
They didn't lower wages, they made everything more expensive
>Every university now has 100 deans of diversity and women's study
>Every hospital has a million administrators doing god knows what
>Must pay for full-time daycare to raise your child instead of the mother doing it
>All new construction must meet arbitrary random rules thought up by local housewives at the town council, like forcing all buildings to be made of recycled material
That's why wages are up but everyone feels broke
and do you have anything to actually back up this claim
common sense and also

Of course. If you have twice as many people applying for the same number of jobs, wages drop by half using a simple linear supply and demand model. I know it’s not quite that simple, but it’s not terribly complex to wrap your head around (unless you’re this guy evidently)
>There is not a limited number of jobs
This would imply there are infinite people and infinite labor to be done, which are both absurd.
>blaming wamen instead of your israeli boss
You gays will blame God himself before you fix the system.
shart your pants? da joooooz did it
>da joooooz did it
Yes.
No, the decline of unions did.
Millions of women deciding to become preschool teachers won't lower wages for carpenters. Each labor market is different.
No, but the women being manipulated to go into programming and hard sciences and the rest of stem reduces stem wages, so you're fricking wrong, and should go back to r*ddit homosexual.
>Did women entering the work force bring about the decline of wages in Western society?
In the past women were technically in it, many just didn't get paid for it, their income was attached to the family or it was informal.
Mass migration did
Only partly. Globalisation is the main reason. When Chinaman or Indian gets richer, someone somewhere loses money, even if global total is positive.
Wages haven't declined. It's a myth.
>It seems like before the 1970s most families could survive off of the father wages.
If you want 1970s living standards you still can.
>productivity increases
>wages don’t
I can buy a house in a safe high trust white area for two years median salary?
