Did God Die? Did he leave me?

I have a question for any deities or priests that may see this post.

I felt like for the past 5 years god was guiding me, but suddenly he stopped. I'll just tell my story

>be arrested
>day before my trial prosecutor quits
>my case is settled by another prosecutor who knows nothing about my case
>instead of years in jail, receive 40 hours community service
>restart my degree
>become best undergrad researcher at my school
>win multiple state competitions and grants
>get into PhD program

Now
>failing all my classes
>no hope
>doesn't get a research advisor (very rare)
>in trouble with both law and my school

So like is god still around? Did he abandon me? I lost all the hope I once had. I feel like I had a guardian angel, but they left.

People have streaks of good luck and bad. Ask the religious, and they'll most likely say god doesn't really *abandon* anyone. There's an undercurrent of "at most, God is just sighing lovingly like a parent seeing a child throw a tantrum for not being allowed to touch the stove." Ask the magic-aligned sceptics here, and you'll probably get answers along the lines of "don't worry about it." You weren't actively doing anything to garner favour when you got the lucky streak, and you weren't doing anything to intentionally lose it. Maybe it was just a passing spirit that took interest, maybe you're overthinking it, maybe there was some auspicious conjunction in relation to your chart, or whatever else. Who knows. Don't lose sleep over it. If you want supernatural help to get out of that academic funk, apply any of the billion magical techniques out there for luck and gain.

Nah what happened is that you got vaxxed and your soul left your body. Now God has disowned you. You are condemned to damnation and you deserved it.
No sympathy for you here. Now fuck off.

Which one of these wildly contradictory opinions will win?

      magic is dumb.

you just have to walk the path(s) the universe has for you.

you will always experience negative pushback from magic.

      all action has reaction.

you get challenges for walking the paths, yes, but nothing like magical pushback

      I didn't get vaxxed though.

Do spirits help people and move on? Like they see your through a really rough time, and leave once they think you'll be OK?

        >I didn't get vaxxed though.
The fact that you're a constant, compulsive liar is another reason why God has condemned you to eternal damnation. Which you, as a disgraceful and completely despicable individual and scumbag, fully deserved.

The amount of ways you can suddenly gain the favour of a spirit is as varied as the ways you can offend one. In the same way you can pick up a malicious jinn by throwing hot coals without calling out a warning (Middle Eastern superstition), you can also just as suddenly gain a jinn lover. I'm not saying it *is* a jinn in your case, I'm just giving examples I personally am culturally familiar with. Maybe there was no spirit, maybe there was, maybe it was an ancestor, maybe a brief blessing from a muse to see you through a limited time, maybe someone left because you had offended, or taken enough, or whatever else. If you're really curious for a specific answer to what happened to you, I recommend divination. But I'd caution against it, because what is to be gained by asking it? Just trivia? Better to focus a question on how to regain that groove. Or indulge in the curiosity. I've asked my own share of petty questions, so I can't wholly condemn it without being a hypocrite.

Doing magic is equally as evil, manipulative, dangerous, and useless as healing, creating art, avenging the unduly hurt, and forming blessings for a prosperous life. Things possible when you cast a solar legal ritual so a friend with a terminal illness can win a court case giving them the insurance they need, or tying down a representation of a lost child to bespell them to come back (a little folk ritual, but still), etc.

Life gives us tools to use them. We do not have a pantheon of smiting gods for humans to be intentionally meek.

          >inb4 "no i mean black magic"
"Life gives us tools" applies to, for example, guns and love spells. Sometimes you *do* need to cast a curse, sometimes you do need to make sure a person fails. Sometimes there's someone coming at you and you need to defend yourself violently.

Would briefly apologizing at night to the supernatural force help or hurt? Sometimes people want an apology and sometimes they don't.

I have already thanked them alot. Maybe once a month,I meditate and just say "thank you" as if someone was in the room with me.

No, it is entirely emotional on your end. Take this with a grain of salt, I may just be a dick pulling your leg.

life doesn't give us magic you bufoon.

we reach across a barrier our souls are not supposed to in this life and we take it.

it damages you and the people around you.

it's only there to TEMPT you. you don't need it in this life.

it's all crap your soul knows when you leave this place, you came here for a fucking break from it.

Souls must be fucking retarded to come to a world enmeshed in magic for a break from it. Are human souls literally just assmad thread lurkers?

what happened to where you are failing now?
    What have you done.

You got on a good path but if you do good on a good path you do get tougher challenges.

I think the people at my PhD program are more uptight, and don't necessarily like the kind of person who posts on LULZ.

I'm thinking about calling this all a wash, and doing entrepreneurship, since I have a lot more product design background than people in my stem field.

Right now, I'm just going to fail all my 3 classes, and ask if I can take a year off, and retake them. Most students have to retake 1 or 2 of the courses but never all 3.

It's a challenge but adapting to them really isn't that difficult in the larger scheme of your life, but for people like us who post on LULZ (assuming you're probably traumaform autistic and probably some other neurodivergence)
it is a big challenge, I do admit it, because we don't like to adapt to other people, but you can do it and not change yourself, who you really are.

you might be right about the product design thing but the PhD will open a lot of doors.

by rejecting the people in your program you are rejecting the path the universe set for you.
