Did anyone ask for this?

https://www.govtech.com/education/higher-ed/mind-reading-tech-at-ut-austin-raises-ethical-questions

Is there a single person on this planet who wants to live in a world where this exists? Why aren't we taxpayers given the choice of whether we fund this or not, this is absurd. Scientists are ruining this world for no reason why can't they just research something else.

This is going to make life a lot easier, if you don't think bad things then you have nothing to worry about

It’s the patriot act all over again. “If you don’t think of bad things you’ll be fine” can’t I get any privacy. A man can’t think in his own skull with only himself, God, and whatever other entities to hear without his fellow man barraging in?

This will only help accelerate natural selection, which is a good thing. Only those with strong, pure, and honest thoughts will survive. If you’re afraid, that says a lot about you, doesn’t it?

Like, sure maybe that thing could read your mind, but if all it gets is

    >BVT VVY IS THE RUM GONE
then uh, what good did it's reading do?

Looks like they need physical access to the brain. Now, if you aren't inplanting yourself with musk's spyware like the naggercattle you should be safe. Just don't make the mistake you did with smartphones and social media

Yeah, people who are paralyzed or can't speak, but they can still communicate what they want through their brain.
Do you want to live in a world where if you get the connections to your brain destroyed, you have to live paralyzed forever?

tbtbh I've been operating under the assumption that such tech already exists and is relatively prevalent since the mid-late nineties, because I realized it was only a matter of time before it would be developed and better to develop the proper habits early. so yeah, bring it.

This is ridiculous. Technology is FAR more advanced than unclassified research let us know.

    Google "targeted individuals". Its real.

A technology far more advanced than this was BORN long ago in an unethical context.

The general midwit won't do anything until he becomes a victim.
