The males in Donbass and Lugansk are forced by Russian occupiers to choose the grinder of the frontline or the abattoir of a Russian torture prison. It's treachery the canon fodders part against Ukraine, but a 50/50 survival chance on the frontline is better than the 100% of being "disappeared" in the most painful way.
Unoccupied Ukrainians don't see it as treachery even though they kill Thier own. It's part of the price of having a border with Russia.

Absolutely not. Treason or treachery implies a promise you made and then broke, it's not possible to break an implicit contract. Picture this: a guy walks up to you and says "I'll beat you up if you don't go home and give me a thousand bucks". If you instead go home, gather up your neighbours and beat up the bully who demanded money from you, is it treason? That's basically the relationship between the state and the citizen, the state declares that they'll use force on you unless you comply. There is nothing inherently immoral in resisting their demands or acting against them.
