          Anonymous

Pop uses ubuntu repo and they don't set dependency. The same bug would happen in Ubuntu as well.

            Anonymous

If the entire Ubuntu ecosystem was affected by this bug it would've been big, but you only hear about it on Poop OS because evidently they added some of their own shit and forgot to not fuck it up.

Fuck these fucking forks, I'll be damned if companies like Apple and Windows are driving the nonsense at Debian/Redhat, and then using the excuse of "muh freedom" to subvert the community even further.

Bow down to your XFCE overlords, or perish due to your ego.

why is it called pop it's so dumb please change the name

it's genuinely the pure essence of basedpoggerino homosexualry

that also looks exactly like gnome, I don't get it just give people a taskbar or a dock or something by default

I wouldn't expect someone who names their OS PAWP to understand though

probably some dumb midwesterner who drank too many dr peppers

      >I don't get it just give people a taskbar or a dock or something by default
They do, but the Gnome devs are even bigger homosexuals than they are and are horrible to work with.

You know you are insufferable when other people in your "community" decide they would rather spend bundles of cash just to make a Gnome clone that will probably work 99% the same.

nobody will use it either way. If you want to be edgy, you must use vim in cli mode, otherwise you just use vscode

Why do so many of these desktop screenshots always have really distracting wallpaper backgrounds?

It's like all they can do to make it look nice is have a code editor with loads of colours on screen, and a fancy wallpaper.

Strip those out and what's left?

I want to like this - it's free from both Qt and GTK's baggage, and System76 seems to want a middle ground between Gnome's gimpedness and KDE's bloat, but good why is it so ugly? Just copy Gnome wholesale on that front, it's already a refinement of Apple's pre-blur spam UI

  13. 3 weeks ago

Just use a Mac. Linux is for servers, and that needs to be respected, it should never have a UI.
