I experience the demiurge terrorizing, insulting, threatening, and harassing me every single day that's why I'm convinced that he's real.

I converted to secularism from Christianity because all the knowledge gained about reality separates it from any known religion

I'm at that point in life where I see all religions and religionists as cringe. Atheists and agnostics are cringe too. I'm spiritual but real spirituality to me cannot be divorced from the body which all religions today forsake the body for the spirit. The ancients had a good vibe on spirituality being one with body but being neopagan is fricking larp and cringe. I want a new kind of spirituality that merges spiritual wisdom with bodily strength and martial prowess

I agree. I find modern Christianity, neopaganism and atheism all cringe. I think humanity needs something new for our modern age.

        >I think humanity needs something
This, altough not this version, but Swami Lakshmanjoo's one with his explanations, touched me deeply.

I don't like "spiritual but not religious" because I'm not into this immoral new age ideology. I believe in being a restorationist.

You'll probably end up as some homosexual larping pagan. Having a craving for vague "spirituality" is hilariously feminine.

Lol so true bro, now lets talk about our lord and savior that instructed us not to fight back against people who hit us and steal from us, and that making a lot of money makes it almost impossible to follow him

helped me cope with the trauma of being a mixed black kid in the ghetto with mentally ill parents
i actually had my own religious experience and followed the path
not did what church or christians said

it was quite an amazing experience
it was the happiest i ever been in life
and i had a deep connection to my self and to the ultimate reality
    that i never experienced again

however i learned philosophy and saw how inconsistent christianity is
i realized how racist and ignorant most christians are
saw how awful christian private school kids were
learned more about the history or judaism and christianity
and saw how i was just brainwashing myself
using ritual to activate certain parts of the brain to have a "mystic" experience
realize the same experience can be achieved without religion
sought other ways to unlock spiritual states
    >dance
    >yoga
    >meditation
    >fasting
    >prayer
    >love
    >psychadelics
    >breathwork
all of this is stuff Jesus and the other Prophets did, so why am i just obeying the scripture of some weirdos that couldnt get laid?
so i went on my own spiritual path

I “converted” because of all the 3 reasons you mentioned.
For me, being convinced about the theology and agreeing to its social values aren’t separate and that’s the most important reason to practice a religion.
