What are some essential computer health checking technologies?
I'm about to order a refurbished/used laptop and I want to have everything ready to make all possible tests, to make sure the laptop is healthy and I won't need to go through the headache of returning.
I know CrystalDiskInfo is crucial. What else?
Powercfg /batteryreport and maybe pop open hwinfo sensor panel and verify everything is at a reasonable temperature under load. Memtest if your really paranoid.
Prime95, Furmark and 3Dmark
RightMark Audio Analyzer
I just use Gnome's Sytem Monitor/Logs/Disks/Disk Usage Analyzer and see what's up with my system. Linux doesn't get OS rot like other operating systems so it doesn't need any maintenance beyond updates that are automatic in store if you want them to be.
Is there a Linux version of this? Tried running it in a VM and it didn't do anything.
There are smart tools for CLI.
Cool, what is it called?
smartctl
Thanks.

She's cute. We need more software with a random cute anine girl plastered on the side, I don't use much screen real estate in the first place, might as well have cute girls in my peripheral.
So much this. What do we have 4k for, we need to fill the space with cute anime girls (that talk too)
