      >you need work experience or an edge over the others.

I'm a 41 year old black transgender postal worker with a degree in Information Systems living in NYC.

      Does any of that help?

I think you're blowing the whole "affirmative action / diversity hire / quota" meme out of proportion.

            he's really not
also 41% yourself for being a tripfag and also

You will never be a real woman. You have no womb, you have no ovaries, you have no eggs. You are a homosexual man twisted by drugs and surgery into a crude mockery of nature’s perfection.
All the “validation” you get is two-faced and half-hearted. Behind your back people mock you. Your parents are disgusted and ashamed of you, your “friends” laugh at your ghoulish appearance behind closed doors.
Men are utterly repulsed by you. Thousands of years of evolution have allowed men to sniff out frauds with incredible efficiency. Even trannies who “pass” look uncanny and unnatural to a man. Your bone structure is a dead giveaway. And even if you manage to get a drunk guy home with you, he’ll turn tail and bolt the second he gets a whiff of your diseased, infected axe wound.
You will never be happy. You wrench out a fake smile every single morning and tell yourself it’s going to be ok, but deep inside you feel the depression creeping up like a weed, ready to crush you under the unbearable weight.
Eventually it’ll be too much to bear - you’ll buy a rope, tie a noose, put it around your neck, and plunge into the cold abyss. Your parents will find you, heartbroken but relieved that they no longer have to live with the unbearable shame and disappointment. They’ll bury you with a headstone marked with your birth name, and every passerby for the rest of eternity will know a man is buried there. Your body will decay and go back to the dust, and all that will remain of your legacy is a skeleton that is unmistakably male.
This is your fate. This is what you chose. There is no turning back.

A job will land you a job.
Get a job, learn and on a side get some certs.

If you are asking if it can replace a degree: nope. Unless you work really hard and get some niche certs. To eventually learn that a degree is a shorter path.

skip A+, get Network+ or Security+, then when you're due for a renewal use A+ as an easy cycle

What if I learned Frontend Web Development from a website like FreeCodeCamp or The Odin Project and made portfolio displaying what I learned?

Would that be enough to get my foot in the door somewhere?

I dabbled in C++ back in 2004 but haven't touched it since.

picrel is some of my code from back then.

        Come on, guys.

I need a way a fast way into the tech industry.

I'm tired of being a postal worker.

It's unionized, the pay is good, and the benefits are really great, but I want to do something else.

Give me some suggestions on something I can learn in a couple of months to get my foot in the door somewhere.

    I'm motivated.

    I'm ready to learn.

    And I have the setup.

I just need you to point me in the direction of SOMETHING useful I can learn from in front of a computer that is GUARANTEED to get me a foot in the door of the tech industry .

It has to be GUARANTEED or I'm not going to have the motivation to get through it.

I need to see some light at the end of the tunnel before starting.

Also, you should be nicer to the people who come here looking for help.

When they come here looking for help, they'll thank you and because of the pleasant experience, they'll come back and maybe help other people who need help or direct people here who need help because they found help here when they needed help.

That's how you build a community.

I was going to share my STEAM keys with the community for helping me.

But since there are a lot trolls in this thread taking shots at me, I'm not going to share anything.

            Yep.

Think I'll just be keeping my STEAM keys for myself,.

Not sure what you want to hear. DO the trifecta maybe also the ccna cert. You probably wil get a job with those.

Or learn to code try js,css html and go for webdev. You already mentioned top.

Or you do the aws route and do the aws saa cert for example. There are many ways.

Isn't learning to code risky now with AI?

I could of sworn these AI companies are looking to replace entry level coders with AI.

Sure, it will land you a low-tier job fixing computers. However, you can get that same job without a cert by simply asserting confidence and knowing what you are talking about.

Cause every industry is oversaturated and companies know they can hire any immigrant for pennies cause no matter what being in America is better than India or Colombia or something

Thats not a lot. You can get all that shit in less than a month barring the degree, but now a days no one cares about degrees if you have any actual work experience whether its from mcdonalds, walmart, city work or some local factory. What employers want is someone on a tragectory and if you can show that then you can get a job.

Really depends on the company like any other job. It's not fresh and roses just because you are dev. Lots of ways to get screwed over by managers or HR.
