Your predictions for 30 years into the future? I’ll make a note in my diary for 2031 and read back this thread to see who was correct and who needs to be laughed at

You will turn 43, realize that you’re unhappy and alone, and will have a nice day.
You need to be 18 to post on this site btw

generic dystopian society but without any of the cyberpunk/bladerunner aesthetic that nerds like to fawn about attached to it, it will actually just be like right now but somehow even shittier and more boring
40 years though? complete civic collapse, calling it now

Sounds about right. The sad part is we never got flying cars. What a freaking bummer.

Most likely this too. Sounds crazy but if you don’t realize people are just being positioned against each other in a war of minds (World War 3 aka a nothing war), you don’t get it.

Nothing will happen. Come on guys, you don’t remember in the early 2000s where people were constantly worrying about terrorists invading the USA, etc. Never happened, never will.

More restrictive software, more botnet, more bloatware, more disfunctional software, more planned absolecence, more "green computing practices", more pandering to the most hedious subhumans.
At best, everything has collapsed by then because raw material shortages and overbearing amounts of waste or just simply general discontent.

I dont mean it as asking for validation from normaloids. I mean how they see it as so weird to deviate in any way from the norm. They literally can not even fathom that it is possible or even livable. They have such an aggresive reaction when you even suggest that MAYBE, just MAYBE not using the phone from morning to noon is possible or desirable. Smartphone is like food to them. When even the posibility of being deprived from it is mentioned, they have the exact same reaction when you approach a dog that is eating after a while.
It is trully forific when you see it.

Bullshit, people at bars are constantly getting pissed off at the bullshit perpetuated by the press. They think it’s lazy machiavellianism at best because it literally is. The system is breeding stupidity in it’s upper agencies now.
This is how subversion works. It’s super effective. At making blowback in the form of violent outbursts and bullshit like that.
                And I hate it.
I hate being a bull at the matador. I always have.

      – the world will become normal again, because the fighting against scrotebraination helped, LGBT and antifa will become a forgotten fad and a lot of the destruction of rights has recovered a small bit.
      – Or the world will become worse, I can’t think of anything but there will be something worse out there that will be accepted by the youth, it will become more and more clearer we are copying the way of the Chinese aka no freedom of speech without any of the benefits

Humanity begins living in smaller and smaller housing units as they spend more and more of their time in virtual reality.

Everyone will be able to live in a large virtual house decorated just how they like with virtual good bought at pixelmart. >Self-driving cars will become commonplace. It won’t be camera-only, it will use a combination of cameras, lidar, various other sensors, and will furthermore communicate with other cars on the streets in a distributed manner to ensure smooth traffic. You will NOT own any of these cars, they will all be owned and operated as a fleet by uber, lyft and various tech giants. Insurance rates for "legacy" non-smart vehicles will go through the roof pricing out all but the wealthy from driving manually.

Social media won’t be as perverse as it is because people will have wised on to the hysteria somewhat, but the 40 somethings who’ll have aged will still be susceptible somewhat.
DNA databases will be expanded upon to critical capacity
Crispr will be in full flex
Windows 13 will have at least 32 different guis, all clashing with each other
3d human less farming will be in full flex
Lab meat will have indistinguishable texture and fat
      Moon colony beginnings
      No economic reform
A nuke will have been fired
Lithium is near depleted, but battery tech will be beyond it by then.

China already is what western society will be in 30 years. Face recognition apparati in public places, social score system, great firewall against Russia and eastern countries (except of Japan and SK because you gotta have consumers addicted to anime and east asian media), no actual private property whatsoever (everything will be either for rent or lent out by state companies only appearing as private), public transportation only, people will only become more detached from each other and most likely only few will leave their apartments/pods. It will be an introduction to a full-blown dystopia.
As for myself I will probably an hero by the time I turn 40. I will enjoy last moments of the great times before it all runs into the ground, scrotes.

Free software and decentralized/federated internet services will become increasingly popular as repression in digital spaces skyrockets.

Electric cars will dominate the landscape and will likely use solid state batteries that can top off as quickly as a regular gas tank.

America will have either compeltely disintegrated or have a Germany 1930s style rejuvenation. Either way their global hegemony will die.

A war will shake the earth and wipes 90% of the population.
Sex made illegal. Humans are created in vats with undesirable traits removed and conceived for full obedience. Basically robots with flesh. Full fledged humanoid robots are very rare due to lack of research and resource scarcity.
Sleep accelerators and nutrient capsules to replenish energy in a blink. Dinners/cooking will be a thing of the past after meat overground became improper for consumption, with radiation and mutated uncontrolled diseases.
Underground megalopolis since the ground has been an irradiated desert.
      Moon work camps.
      Death of free market.
Personal tech overall will step back by a lot.
Remaining tribes of humans surviving the war overground but not belonging to the elite class are deported in underground concentration camps, and be plugged to an experimental full dive VR with timestretching. Many will die from fried brains in minutes.
