There aren’t enough distinct political divides for their to a US civil war, most people have cousins or family in other states they wouldn’t just kill each other over Trump or Biden when there is 0 gain being fought over.

No, because one side requires the federal legal system to function at all(antifa, BLM) and the other side would benefit from a federal collapse by being allowed to actually engage their opposition.
Also only one side actually has the land ownership, firearm ownership, and skilled labor pool necessary to form a functioning first world nation in the wake of a collapse, and it isn’t the side made up entirely of the renter/service/welfare class.

It doesn’t matter which side has/contols x or y, if a civil war did brake out it foreign powers would have a field backing otherwise unthreatening factions either out of ideological conviction or just to further destabilise the region.

Those millions of Afghans died in the 1980’s and 90’s during the Soviet war, then in the Afghan civil war. By the time America came, millions were already dead, and now only a couple thousand die yearly.

Nope, it will go the same way as last time with the state governments sided towards one party or the other seceding. Who would win would ultimately come down to whether the rebels would be able to take over the major industrial centers of the opposing side (New York and California for the Democrats, Texas and Louisiana for the Republicans).

More like the Spanish civil war, with states aking to the warring factions.
The demonrats will split between the slaneeshi demons (West coast) and the tzeench demons (east coast).
The Republicans will control most of central USA but the mormons and maybe the amish or other isolationist ultrareligious groups. Still there would be much more cooperation in the republican factions than in the demonspawns, thus the republicans would win -
