Now that the source code of WinXP is open, how difficult would be port win32 graphics like picrel to Linux?

The source code for Windows XP is not open source, it just got leaked. Implementing anything woke af on that leak would be illegal and likely draw legal action from Microsoft. There’s also zero reason to port a 20 year old GUI to GNU/Linux. There are themes for every DE and WM that look indistinguishable from classic Win9x if that’s what you want.

You can get linux to look like that in terms of UI elements, the real magic of windows is not how it looks but how it works. The classic pre-vista explorer is the best deskop environment ever made. Nothing comes close, it would be ab absolute near impossible nightmare to port shell to linux.

Forget Linux, it will never be like old skool Windows. We need to pour resources in to ReactOS, it’s the only hope.

I saw the most perfect Windows classic theme for KDE Plasma posted here, asked about it, and it turned out to be fake…

OK, I can see you’ve made 3 very minor changes to the taskbar. What do those have to do with spacing

open the two images in two new tabs and quickly switch between them
                you will see the difference
