Most people living in Cuba have no problem with the United States. They are by far the nicest people I have encountered. Inversely, most Americans don’t have any problem with the people of Cuba. The whole reason behind the continued animosity is the autistic rage of Cuban Americans living in Florida. They are upset that their grandfather’s sugarcane plantation was confiscated by Castro 60 years ago and won’t let it go.

Cuban rebel’s entire strategy was to try and get the US to defeat Spain for them by killing as many people as possible on both sides, to make a bloodbath so large that they would have to be saved

Regimes change eventually so yes. Even if it’s not radical and just a president wanting to open up relations.

Yes. Once the Democrat party gets fully taken over by the Bernie/AOC socialist wing, eventually they will succeed in running a winning presidential candidate, and that President will re-establish friendly relations with Cuba, NK, China etc.

                        >>no you can’t use american definitions or words, only I’m relevant
There’s no such thing as an “American definition” of socialism, just like there is no such thing as an “American definition” of communism or democracy. There is only one definition, and calling anyone who wants to raise corporate tax rates by 0.5% a “socialist” is objectively incorrect.

Yes there is. In the 1890’s People’s party socialists merged with the Democrat party to create Progressives leading to the creation of things like the New Deal

                        >People’s party socialists
The People’s Party were pretty freaking far from socialist. They never even claimed to be socialist. They were an agrarian focused populist group that were vehemently anti-immigration. They supported an adjusted income tax and public ownership of railroads, which weas about the closest to they got to “socialist” ideals.
                        >merged with the Democrat party to create Progressives
Progressives and the People’s Party famously bated each other.

There were probably more Progressives in the GOP, enough to split and lose the party the 1912 election

There were two types of progressives. There were the imperialist progressives, like Theodore Roosevelt that only ever wanted to be an empire like the British and there were the socialist isolationist progressives that wanted to turn the federal government into a gift basket. Both were in both parties but the Democrats had more socialists and the Republicans had more imperialists

Roosevelt wanted a national health insurance scheme. Your distinction is without a difference.

There’s a very clear distinction, which I said clearly. There were isolationists and imperialist progressives. There’s a belief in historical circles that isolationists didn’t existed, but that’s just cope. Theodore Roosevelt was a progressive (slightly socialistic) imperialist, he wanted to create US colonies like big sis Bongland.

Barack Obama was “socialist” by American standards. That’s why you don’t typically use incorrect standards to determine something.

He very much was a socialist. There’s little difference between the imperialist and the socialist. Socialists are just imperialist dictators that throw pocket change at people to get their votes, in the US that is

Because Cubans today have a huge cope about having black admixture. A study came out that showed only 19% of Cuban exiles (who were made up of elites, landowners, businessmen, and politicians) are above 87.5% white (which is the criollo cutoff in latam castas), so imagine how little it is in Cuba.
