Why does the catholic church always give me such a bad vibe. It’s just so uncanny it really feels like something evil is lurking within these walls with people who worship statues and do all these blasphemous things, which really gives me the feeling that they attract bad energy wherever they go. Anyone else feel the same? Whenever i see a catholic person holding their little baby jesus statue or virgin mary pendants it never feels like it’s something good or wholesome but like its some kind of negative energy i feel they bring with them.

Nah i just find it pretty diabolical with the amount of blasphemy that goes on in there, ie cannibalizing Christ, reciting incantations like the rosary, doing rituals that have nothing to do with God or the bible, idolatry, child sex abuse, and pretty much actually believing that Jesus dying on the cross is "not enough" salvation you have to additionally confess and call your priest "father" which God explicitly prohibits, i dont know which is worse though but the child sex abuse, idolatry and blatant necromancy is the trinity of abomination your house worships. So yeah i do feel like catholics are demonic.

I’m not a Catholic, but I go to a Catholic church near my house pretty much every day of the week. I go to the masses and some days I go when it’s empty and meditate for a while. I have been studying/practicing mysticism for over a decade and have studied Buddhism and Vedanta. I lived in India for 6 months at Ramana Maharshi’s ashram during this time. One philosophy or practice seemed to just flow into the next. Perhaps it’s just what I needed at the time. Where I’m living now the church is pretty much the only game in town. The spiritual power/presence of God is something I can not deny. While I do have my issues with the institution, I find the local church and the congregation to be quite nice. Just my two cents. Sorry for the blog post.

I like how intimidating gothic cathredals look. Catholics have top tier aesthetics no matter the style unlike Orthodox which is garbage. If anything they needed to go more brrutal and metal, the moment Catholics started acting like "proper" Christians we started losing europe to muslims.

I don’t really see the church that way at all. Catholic mass always felt like a very uplifting experience. I usually feel very renewed and cleansed after taking the Eucharist and having holy water on me upon leaving.
I can understand the negative vibes when you have a lot of corruption issues and abuse coming from members of the organization but the mass itself always felt positive to me.

Can you specific which churches that catholic split from and what the “petty bullshit” was? There were numerous heresies in the early church ranging from Arianism, Diocetism, Nestorianism, and Monothelitism. These were all churches that split from the orthodox Catholic Church, not the other way around. Also, these were not trivial matters at all. These were heresies against the nature of Christ as God and man.

When I came to an Arab Orthodox Church I felt really blessed. It’s a totaly different vibe. In Protestant Church I simply felt nothing. Really weird.

This is not to suggest that Christianity is "wrong", but many Christians have the tendency to emphasize certain things at the expense of others in a way that it not balanced. Samael is a part of God, and being created in God’s image, that makes him a part of us as well. We cannot destroy that which is part of us, but we can rise above it and not allow ourselves to be slaves to our basest impulses. This is allegorized by Christ’s meeting with Satan in the desert. He does not lash out at Satan. He does not turn him into a frog or attempt to kill him. He just calmly tells him he has no power of over him. That is what we must do also.
Now this is not to suggest that Catholics are evil. No strand of Christianity gets it fully right. In order to correct this issue, we must seek to lead by example.
