this, we are basically living it.

Gavin Newsom’s heist of EDD and sudden failure to pay long established Gibs system and get away with it means The Gov’t can now stop SSI, Medicare, military retirement, Fed and State, and Local pay, etc on any excuse and get away with it.

Like CA’s EDD, it not that they are refusing, just system having issues but if you don’t appeal it just right you lose your rights, etc.

That combined with open police stand downs and protection of Antifa/BLM is the future. Notice even in recent Antifa attacks on anti-pedophile protest in Modesto, CA the cops swept in to protect Antiscrotes literally under 10 seconds into Antiscrotes starting to get rekt. That means cops were 1/2 block down, engines running, eyes on the prize waiting for the GO! signal.

It will be like after USSR where lots of doctors, etc were going months and years without pay on some promise of "back pay" so they also stopped paying rents and everything just sorta stopped but also sorta kept going just real shitty. Doctors would still set broken legs but with flour paste casts and often no X-ray so often a little bonked up, and only vodka for pain killer or some croc.

Cops not paid but can barter "protection" for loaf of bread and can of beans.

Official Gov’t still in place but its only function is to be fake and gay and cockblock any legit Gov’t from forming. Any legit large "Neighborhood Association" forms where people trade goods and services in a large and semi-organized fashion and The Capital will dispatch Goon Squads and label it a "militia" and "terrorist training camp" and shoot the place up and take leaders away to The Kamps.

Fpbp. Slow economic decline over the course of a few decades until everyone’s living in the equivalent of urban ghettos, Appalachian lean-to’s and trailers, or straight favela games. Wealthy people, ever smaller in number, will recluse themselves into fortified little mansion-suburbs or bougey downtown lofts. As things currently stand ibcome inequality is worsening and social mobility disappearing at a surprising rate. As the middle class shrinks and corporations continue to totally-not-monoploze we’ll probably see workers’ rights diminish and prices go up and more poverty and shit. Perhaps we’ll even see the return of indentured servitude and repeal of all the EVA’S protections and our will will go full corporatist dystopia with smog filled urban hellscapes.

So there won’t be a boogaloo. Just slow decline due to our decadence and multicultural enrichment.

Only possibility would be massive economic crash on a global scale I guess but we’ve never seen anything like that historically. There wasn’t a boog during the great depression, just a bunch of poor people. Perhaps with our current political climate people would be more likely to freak out and splinter off into various cultural groups. However the US has always dealt with divisiveness. The early 20th century wasn’t exactly a rosey time politically or culturally either. We would need an absolute perfect storm of a) another much worse pandemic, b) economic crash, c) much worse political climate (its not that bad right now trust me), d) more natural disasters. I think its possible but slow decline due to these things more likely.

There will be mass civil unrest if the government loses control. IF they lose control its over. They better be careful when manufacturing this next financial collapse

          >There wasn’t a boog during the great depression, just a bunch of poor people
          >t. did not pay attention to the depression stories his grandparents should have told him
Most people then were not dependent on the state or a massive supply chain as they are now. The US of the depression was a completely different animal than it is now and the one now would not be able to make it though a depression. If an economic collapse happened today, which it might given what is going on in China and our own markets, there would be millions of people unable to support themselves. Historically this does lead to violence, and violence will occur this time because daddy fed can’t pull the same tricks it pulled in the 30s. Everyone left of center talks about how great the new deal was but most of them don’t realize it set us up for the current situation we find ourselves in. Massive portions of the population directly dependent of the federal government for their day to day needs with an ever shrinking pool of tax revenue. It doesn’t help the Social Security Boomer Bomb is going to fall soon.

Cringe, and a wild misunderstanding of the situation in Venezuela.

Communist ELN and FARC fighters fleeing defeat in Columbia are literally taking over the Venezuelan countryside because they even they can’t freaking stand Maduro and his government despite the fact he’s a socialist himself. The country is already in a de facto state of civil war where the government can’t exercise effective authority outside of its major cities, it’s only a mere matter of time before major fighting breaks out.

Yet how many people have gotten both jabs and still gotten sick and died? Israel is over 80% of people getting both jabs, they’re pretty much 100% for every one at least having one. Yet over 7,000 new cases each day, plenty of people still getting horribly sick and dying, so if that’s the case, no point in getting it. Even if the survival rate was 70%, still wouldn’t get that, especially after how just getting the flu shot had a horrible reaction for me.

Real tier: Anglo governements get more and more auth, people not taking vaccine and not abiding by anything and driving the economy down, thus triggering a bad economic crisis which in turn would trickle down into something bigger, talking riots in every major city and capital in the world, food chain collapse, etc

Here’s a real answer: a significant natural disaster or weather event which causes a cascade of electrical infrastructure failure. Damage to certain key components of the power grid could take literally months to fix. What happens if there is no power to a large area for 30 days, with no ETA of resolution? 60 days? Absolute pandemonium. There no longer exists the skill, know-how, and ability to fix these things anymore.

I don’t see the world ending one day, and I don’t just see a gradual slide. I see a succession of steps and jolts which take longer and longer and longer to recover from, with full recovery from each successive event never truly occuring.

Wrong. Go to any shitty third world hellhole; the urban centers are the safest and most functional areas and the countryside is where you end up on LiveLeak in Boko Haram’s Funniest Home Videos. Isolated farmhouses are death traps and always have been absent a black death style plague or nuclear war. Think about it – would you rather try to ride out the Dark Ages in rural Gaul and Britannia or near Constantinople?

Until the 20th century. Cities were population sinks. That only grew because excess rural growth moved to cities fir work.

A collapse would make cities population sinks again. Where degradation of services and order lead to high mortality rates from diseases and sharp metal objects.

true SHTF is extremely unlikely. any unrest/conflict will be localized and will stabilize in a short time.

the most likely incident is probably either a solar flare or the cascadia subduction zone. but neither will happen in our lifetimes.

it depends on what you mean by "stabilize" and "a short time."
Lets say something like the NYC Blackout happens on the scale of a tri-state region, and lasts for a month. There would be total chaos, mass death, looting, arson, trillions in economic damages. Order would be restored eventually, after tens/hundreds of thousands died and thousands were murdered. But after order is restored- then what? Things don’t just "go back to normal" after that. Not really. There is permanent damage- economic, social, physical infrastructure- and its not getting fixed.

But why? The government would readily drop billions of dollars and move heaven an earth to respond much faster than a freaking month. You’re talking an average of a 9/11 a day or more worth of deaths for a month straight confined to a few thousand square mile area.

Your mistake is assuming that just throwing money at something means it’ll suddenly work, and you only need to look at Saudi Arabia or the UAE to see how wrong that is. Just because they decide to throw a billion dollars at infrastructure thats been bonked for years that no one gave a shit about before until it inevitably fails doesn’t mean it magically starts working again, especially if unlike disasters such as Katrina that were all mostly in one focal point it spreads out to an entire geographic region. If the San Andreas fault decides todays the day it wants to show the West Coast what the definition of “torn a new poopyhole” really means then there is literally nothing all the money in the world could do to actually do anything but the equivalent of putting a band aid on a sucking chest wound, especially when a lot of the people involved have a record of being more interested in pocketing the money instead of using it for its intended purpose.

                >comparing how much more difficult it would be from an entire geographic area getting bonked to just a single city is moving goal posts
You could swap it for the Eastern Seaboard getting bonked by storms and floods and it would still be the same thing just with less earthquakes, infrastructure that was failing beforehand won’t just suddenly get better in a SHTF scenario just because now people started to notice it. You might be able to stop things from getting worse but the damage would already have been done. Besides, its not like we haven’t had plenty of evidence of seeing clear as day just how bloated, inefficient, and in some (many) cases downright corrupt the federal government is when things aren’t going to hell, after this year alone I’m not exactly confident in their ability to do anything other than screw the public at large. Or state govs for that matter, Texas had grid issues from winter beforehand and nobody bothered to try and fix them. Now earlier this year some people turned into flesh popsicles.

How long do you think we have?
I’ll say between 10-30 years. It hasn’t gone full Weimar yet, so we still have some time

Not massive population centers where food supplies would be bonked without refrigeration and where simply driving to get food wouldn’t be an option.

ok well the only reason im skeptical is I work in the energy industry. that kind of an outage is unrealistic unless there is widespread devastation from a natural disaster. any kind of hardware fault or attack wouldn’t be that difficult to recover from. my service territory has numerous failsafes, fuses, and redundancies.

I’ll be honest, I want a happening too, but without a serious disaster (or nuke), it just aint gonna happen friend. I work with electrical engineers in the seven figure range, the only thing that spooks them is a carrington-style solar flare. Because not only will it destroy pretty much any on-wire device, but it also destroys most internet components as well, which is important because SCADA devices use the internet to control the grid. you see where Im going with this.

What’s your take on a Texas in February but elsewhere and elsewhen sort of crisis? Meaning some disaster strikes that impacts the ability for a large region to generate and distribute power, say huge dust storms that impact solar, wind, and hydro power for the southwest for a few weeks in the middle of summer?
Can the rest of the grid generate enough power to keep the AC in Phoenix and Vegas on? Can it get that power there without causing other issues?

The Texas grid collapsed due to extreme weather. It’s not difficult to envision a back to back series of hurricanes taking down the grid throughout the South, and along the Eastern seaboard. Or wildfires shutting down large segments of the grid in Western states. California has been undergoing wildfire power shutoffs for a couple of years, now.

The Texas grid collapsed due to being run by fucktards who cut corners and refused to winterize their equipment after being faced with a similar incident a decade ago. "Extreme weather" in this case is the norm for a large part of the country for part of the year, so it’s not like suitable equipment is rare or anything.

The reason why is irrelevant. It happened. It’ll happen again, for similar or different reasons. The California blackouts are because PG&E is a publicly traded company, which means they are required to put shareholder value above any other consideration. It doesn’t help that our forestry management practices involve a lot of meditating and tree hugging.

demographic collapse through continuing declining birthrates and skyrocketing suicide rates and psychosocial disorder (behavioral sinks)
devolution into more or less autonomous communities which sometimes trade with each other, but generally dislike each other. just like the internet
some people will wander between these communities because they are sociopaths, murderers, or generally anti-social dregs of the world that was. some communities will welcome and be broken by these people, some communities will shoot these people.
the only institutions left will be cultist or purposeful institutions, such as LDS or Catholicism (the latter mainly providing schools, hospitals, and consecrated religious to staff them) as well as new "past worship" nostalgia cults obsessed with the world that was, performing rituals which mimic the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries.
technology will stagnate, even regress to early industrial levels as high-tech components like integrated circuits slowly disappear.

what you will need to do in the next 10-30 years:
learn skills, particularly building fortifications, manufacturing chemicals, maintaining weapons, other light industry
build relationships with neighbors without external appeals to authority. provide self-reliance, mutual defense, and reciprocal aid
find ways to facilitate trade without external sources; meaning local, commonly-accepted currency.

We would have a lot of warning. Magma pool has to get closer to the surface which would cause massive earth quakes and the temperature of the earth surface in yellowstone to increase significantly. Its not going to be some sudden super explosion without warning. They study it every day and take readings. Lets just hope they are competent

No, because they recently discovered that the magma pool is much MUCH larger than anyone ever anticipated. "The yellowstone magma chamber is now measured to be 55 miles long and 9 miles deep." That is freaking massive amount of lava and ash. Enough to cover the entire northern hemisphere in it.

"Scientists agree that drilling into a section of Yellowstone caldera would be of questionable usefulness. Notwithstanding the enormous expense and technological difficulties in drilling through hot, mushy rock, drilling is unlikely to have much effect. At near magmatic temperatures and pressures, any hole would rapidly become sealed by minerals crystallizing from the natural fluids that are present at those depths."

Its not magma as you understand it its more like a soda or beer that has been shaken.
You can’t just poke holes in it without something bad happening.
The magma holds lots of gases under pressure so when it goes it all goes and doesn’t stop untill the chamber is empty.

Geothermal wells are usually 200m or less while most magma chambers are at 6-10km below surface. The deepest borehole ever drilled was the kola superdeep borehole, and they barely made it to 7k. It’s not as simple as "lol just drill it" because of a myriad of factors like transmitting torque, keeping the enormous weight of the drill string from just smashing your bit, geothermal gradient (kola hit 180C at 7km), and problems with getting cuttings out of the hole (too hot, can’t use water and most oil base degrades). And that’s not even getting to how bad an idea it would be to give extremely hot, pressurized magma and gas an escape route.

I honestly believe we will be struck by an asteroid before yellowstone erupts.
Supposedly there is strong evidence to support an impact event around 2028. It won’t be a planet killer, but it will certainly be pretty bad.

It’ll definitely go off again at some point in the next few million years, but it’s pretty unlikely for it to happen any time soon and there would be a lot of advance warning if it did start moving in that direction
large earthquakes are a more likely concern for the western US, something like the 1700 cascadia earthquake or the fort tejon earthquake happening again is gonna fuck a LOT of shit up

            >Does anyone know how likely Yellowstone erupting is in the near future?

Very low, though not zero. I’d bet on most other possible disaster before a Yellowstone caldera eruption. To put the odds in context, the hotspot that is responsible for Yellowstone has been slowly migrating and leaving large geologic structures and ash beds that give us a pretty good idea of how large and how often it erupts. You can see gaps that last 100’s of thousands to millions of years, but in recent geologic history the time between eruption has been ~700,000k years. A conservative estimate of the risk would probably be something like 1/700,000 yearly, which is really freaking low when you consider you odds of dying in a car crash are ~1/9,000.

Meteor strike in June of 2034.
          The meteor is 1996XF11.
Nasa keeps changeing its designation Now know as apotheos.
It was discovered in 1996 it will make its first pass in 2019 and 5 years later it will strike earth where is a closely guarded state secret.
But that it will impact is physics.

The fukushima earth quake altered the movement of the planet.
The meteor is not big enough to be a world ender but it is big enough to cause a panic and remove a city or costal areas if it hits off a coast.
Its a real thing it will impact and it will be large enough to cause major disruptions of global commerce.
So no tanker shipping, no navy and thats only if it impacts the ocean.
It matters where it impacts and when people are notified by their TV that they are going to die.
My guess is some where in the pacific, so the populations of CA, HI, Guam and the navy will have to be relocated.

Do you have any idea how long that will take and where they would need to go.
The longer the Governments wait the more damage this will cause.
The entire stock market will crash, all commerce will stop cold and it will be months of waiting for the impact will all authorities bussy themselfs with trying to keep everyone calm.
Its a real Chaos. That may still be avoided if action is taken immediately.

The slow collapse of the markets, the increased racial tensions due to the forced demographic changes, diminishing water in heavily populated states (Namely California), and the gross incompetence of the scrotes who dare call themselves """Elites""" will further cause a decline until it can’t sustain itself anymore and totally collapse.
Think of it like a Soviet weapon. It works and works and works, no matter the user neglect, abuse or setting. It will keep working. Until it fails, in which it fails completely, and needs to be thrown out.

The reason why I’m so liberal with my estimates is because of exactly what you said: They usually go for the slow boil.
Until recently. And more and more, average people are feeling the burning sensation.
An example that has happened recently with me. In Canada on the news recently, the recent inflation was calculated to be at an astounding 4.1% . For content, that is the highest it’s been in 18 years. I remember this, because the next story was how wages in Canada would only be going up 2.2% percent.
When I told my father about this in passing, he stopped, went slightly pale and said "That is really high…" before mumbling about the wages being way too low.
If my father, who is a devout liberal, and NDP supporter, can start feeling the effects of the slow decline like that, then how many others are like that?

Yes and you are currently witnessing the acceleration of their plans to meet a timetable they didn’t think they’d have too. It’s a slow boil until it isn’t and then people are left wondering what the fuck happened. Historians will pick apart the post war world and be amazed we as a civilization didn’t see and hear it coming like a freight train from far off. The horn and the lights have been approaching since 1945 and now it’s about to pass.

Over thousands of years of human history civilizations have risen and fallen. Historians will always be there to try and figure out what happened. Sure, sometimes people forget how to read and write after a civilization collapses but they tend to figure it out again.
                  >You want an end, but there won’t be
See above. There is always an end regardless of the well laid plans of parasitic elites. Our culture is currently in a death cycle and they can try all they want to keep power for whatever utopian bullshit they want but it fails. It has in the past and it will again.

I think we’re past that point. Weimar Germany was bad but the really gross shit was concentrated in Berlin for the most part depending on how you interpret “gross shit.” You can’t go into any major metropolitan area in the US in the month of June without seeing a scrote parade and major corporations have openly embraced wokeism.

Regardless the US in 2021 is not post war Germany so an exact comparison is difficult.

        >diminishing water in heavily populated states (Namely California)
While this is a major issue, it is reasonably fixable for the foreseeable future. A massive percent of water in that area goes to people taking advantage of government subsidies to farm crops that need tons of water like almonds in the middle of the freaking desert because the warmth allows longer grow seasons or some bullshit like that.

For a short term disaster: Nukes shipped directly to New York harbor. Wouldn’t directly cause SHTF, but from the ensuing war, economic collapse, fear, and additional chaos, it would not be a good time to live anywhere.

Im pretty much solid. I have a house on stilts in the middle of the everglades/swamp in FL. I got it from it being inherited. You can only take helicopter or boat to get to it. It has a wooden helicopter pad thats built onto the dock. The house itself is like 15-25 miles in the middle of 100+ foot deep waters filled with fish, frogs, snakes, turtles, alligators, birds and shit. Ample source of food already. Part of the house is hidden due to the brush that is built on the sides to hold up vegeation to disguise it. The house is literally a house except i modified it when i got it. the water is taken from the everglades and filter through UV santiation and reverse osmosis filters. Yes I have back ups and a rain catcher. I have other methods as well. I have the roof replaced with solar panels to power the inside (AC unit and lights) it has a family room, kithcen, rooms, bathroom with shower, flushable toilet, tv, firepit, storage room. I have fishing rods/supplies, ammo, firearms, spare parts/ replacements for things, i have a ‘basement’ that stores food, non perishables and long term survival food. I have enough for 3 for 2 years. Working on having more. I have those heat electricity generators as well as a hydro powered gimmick. Got that HAM radio, batteries, boomer boom box, vidya, everything from ps2 to ps5. spare controllers, ketamine, opiods, medical shit, and rec use pot, ketamine, xans, pcp, coke and other misc items stored in waterproof barrels sunk at the bottom of the swamp but attached to the thing with rope.

The eruption last week of a volcano on the Atlantic Island of La Palma has the potential to trigger a 100 meter (about 300 foot) tsunami that would devastate the East Coast of the US, the Southern coasts of Europe, and large parts of coastal Africa and South America.

This comes after the three gorges dam in China came under heavy pressure from “once in a thousand-year flooding,” earlier this summer. If the dam burst, as many as 600 million Chinese would be affected and countless deaths would be recorded.

Its not going to be like in a movie where everything is normal and then fill in the blank disaster and shits bonked up.

If there is anything the learn from recent happenings, the SHTF is a long drawn out attrition until it isnt. The odds for a man made disaster or a 100 year pandemic are much higher than a 500k year eruption or some comet.

We are already seeing that in action.
However, they will be the catalyst, rather then the deciding factor.
The """elite""" have been reduced to a bunch of insane fools and zealots, incapable of properly running society anymore.
I believe the Anti-Christ system was their plan all along, but recent changes, innovations and failures haven’t just thrown a wrench into their plans, it’s nearly derailed them entirely.
The last decade is case in point to that theory.

climate change fucks up our ability to produce food for a large number of people, in the end earth’s population goes to 3 billion, lots of smart people die and our technological advancement in certain fields like electronics are set back because no one knows how the basics work, factories go empty and lots of services become unsustainable without a very large customer base. something like that movie but we can still do small scale farming and society still exists in some pockets

"climate change" actually increases our ability to grow food since there is a ton of land that will become arable and the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere will increase

        >climate change fucks up our ability to produce food for a large number of people

1: There isn’t a population problem in the west. The population growth scare can be solved by immediately ceasing all foreign aid to africa and blockading the waters to stop the migrants. Sink the boats.
2: You’re dumb as fuck if you think that longer growing seasons and increased CO2 concentrations in the air will result in a decrease in food output. What you need to realize that the global elite who are pushing so hard against a warmer and more vibrant earth are a DEATH CULT. They hate life. That’s why they hate a greening planet.
