Look, I’ll tell it to you straight. I want to exploit an AI to help me live out my fantasies. The fantasies aren’t unethical or illegal, just weird. I want your help finding the tools to do that. Is AI dungeon my best bet? With safe mode off, it seems pretty reliable at responding to my roleplays, but I’m wondering if there’s a better alternative.

That’s by design, you’d need several tens of thousand worth of memory and Nvidia GPUs to do better yourself to get anywhere close to the same response time.

Not really, I was talking to an anon about this a couple days ago. You can get by with cheap GPU as long as it has 16+ gb of vram and get a couple second response times.
A Nvidia quadro would do it at around 1400 bucks.

You can get 24GB Quadro cards with CUDA for 200€, they don’t have monitor output though.

People really underestimate GPT-3, uh? Sure you can do that with J or Neo and even a 5800X takes a minute for a sentence, but GPT-3 is mind bogglingly more complex, GPD-J models are like 8GB, a basic GPD-3 model alone is quite literally 10x bigger, 80GB.

It looks like someone forked AI dungeon, allowing you to run it locally with a bunch of optional custom modules. There seem to be a bunch of other tools for doing this too. Not sure why I assumed the scrotes running that site were the only ones capable of doing this, so it’s great there are autists on this board willing to do it in a way that doesn’t shame me for jerking off.

Latitude (AI Dungeon) isn’t even the biggest bad; their pseudo-parent company (Open AI) has free license do whatever the fuck they want with anything you type in AID.

Seconding NovelAI. I’m subscribed to both NovelAI and AIDungeon, and NAI beats AID’s dragon model despite having far fewer parameters, which shows how badly Latitude has mangled the AI trying to censor it.

I’ve tried the middle tier of NovelAI whatever it’s called. It’s incredible how it handles anything even remotely sexy better than AI Dungeon’s Dragon model!
