A guy in the crowd not as well dressed as other people is pretty weak evidence for time travel.
Why would a time traveler not wear clothes that looked more like the crowd he was going to be in, more appropriate for the occasion? Why wear correct period clothes but not clothes that blend in better?

This looks cool, but it’s risky. One guy did it at the fair in my local town, leaned too far back and rippen straight through the canvas ceiling. Flung him way out of the fair grounds. He landed in someone’s backyard and broke both his legs, an arm and some fingers, cracked his skull and lost multiple teeth. Recovered alright though.
